"The hotel is located 10 minutes drive from Darcy Manor. The building is a century-old building on a hillside. The building itself and its garden are amazing. The garden room we booked is in the annex building. The room is large in size and the view from the window is pleasant. The staff is serious and responsible, the attitude is kind, and the service awareness is strong. The hotel restaurant has won Michelin in 2021. The dining environment is beautiful. The price of three dishes for dinner is 80 yuan per person. The taste is good and the plate does meet the Michelin standard. In short, our only regret is to stay for one night. "As many other guests have said, the hotel is in a great location and the staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. However, there are issues that need addressing urgently. Our room was in the Coach House on the ground floor which was dark and rather noisy both from car parking and internally from the common stairway and from the room directly above us. The worst feature however is the lack of drawer space for sweaters, shirts, underwear etc. The large table underneath the television needs to be replaced with a large chest of drawers. The only like space are three small cupboards above the wardrobe which are at least two meters from ground level making access extremely difficult. The other major issue that needs addressing is the food. The meals are in a time warp similar to the days of 'Surf and Turf' and Black Forest Gateau', heavy duty and of high calorific value and also overcooked."

"Stayed for 2 nights at The Moon Inn. The staff were lovely, couldn't have asked for better service. Had a problem with our room on the first night, but received an apology and we were upgraded to a better room on the second night. We are in the bar both nights. The food was good and well priced. Nice ambience."

"The hotel is located on the road leading out of town near Chatsworth Estate, making it suitable for travelers with cars. We checked in the previous night and enjoyed a delicious dinner in the hotel lobby; the steak was especially recommended! 👍🏻 The hotel rooms were standard, parking was free, and it's only a 12-minute drive to the estate, which is very convenient. Overall, it was a good hotel."

"We had a truly delightful foodie evening in the beautifully maintained garden at the Maynard on Friday. The food was absolutely wonderful and the staff were very helpful and friendly. A special thank you to Bethan, who let us taste two of the wines when we couldn’t decide which one to get, which was greatly appreciated. The beef carpaccio was the star of the show in my opinion, beautiful flavours and attention to detail - what appeared to be crispy capers were a very welcome surprise in the dish. The ravioli was rich and creamy and punchy in flavour, very comforting and the portion size was just right. My partner had the cauliflower pakoras with the creamy pea purée which were gorgeous, followed by the Dahl which tasted as though it had been simmered in fresh vegetable broth. All of this was paired with a bottle of the Wild House rosé which was a delight to drink in the summer sun at golden hour. We will definitely be back as soon as we can."
