"From the moment I arrived until the day I departed I was immersed in the Nepali culture both within the resort and out. My hosts filled me with wholesome, homegrown organic Nepali dishes 3 times a day. I was nourished by the stories of the family and the history of the country up to the current moment. My bungalow is generous in size. The garden landscape is well cared for and pretty. Pricing of my room, meals and excursions around the village and into the Bardia game park was very affordable. I have been here at the resort for 14 days and shall leave with many fond memories of the family and local community. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here."

"Lovely, well run hotel with very friendly and accommodating staff. They helped us organise a jeep tour in advance and a next day walking tour when we realised we wanted to explore more of the national park. The catering was a great and we were given options in advance for both lunch and dinner, with different egg options for breakfast too. Rooms were clean with hot water and air con. The bedroom fans and some lights were on back up electrics so we weren't completely in the dark when there were power cuts which was good."

"This is a nice and cozy place with awesome Nepalese hospitality and warmth. They treat you like family and do their best to take care of your every need. It feels like a nice village home rather than a big hotel. You will not find fancy bathroom fixtures or well furnished rooms but you will find a peaceful night in a cozy bed with working a/c and hot showers. The staff is what makes this place special. They light a fire for you. They prepare meals according to your dietary needs and they are there for you to make sure you have a comfortable stay. The national park is very well managed and safe despite the poor governance of the country. The hotel will provide you with knowledgeable guides, vehicles and gear to enjoy your time in the jungle and explore the awesome flora and fauna. You may get lucky and see a tiger but even if you don’t, you see many other animals and enjoy the nature. It’s the thrill of the search that’s more enjoyable than the actual sightings. You smell the forest, you breathe in the fresh air and you enjoy the company of the knowledgeable guide and take home the wonderful memories. Our guide Sitaram was the best of the best and we were lucky to have him. We knew about him from previous TripAdvisor reviews and he was even better in person."

We highly recommend Forest Hideaway Resort, especially for keen bird watchers."

"This is a wonderful place to stay and for Safari tours in the Bardiya Natinalpark. The family, Madhu, Anita and Shirsana, is lovely and super helpful. Even if you come or leave in the middle of the night they are ready for you. I stayed there for 5 days and felt part of the family. I would have loved to stay longer. We did 3 days of safari with 1 night in a jungle camp. Everything was very wel organiced!"

"The best experience into the wilds...We had pleasant and wonderful stay @Samarth Resort..The staffs were so friendly and polite.Food was amazingly delicious!!Tharu dance was unique.We had Whole day Jeep Safari and every second was worth it!! "Our short trip to Bardiya was much more than we expected. The stay at Rhino Lodge was wonderful. The ambience and food were great. The hotel staff were super friendly and welcoming. The highlight of the stay was the whole day jungle safari, which was surreal. Our guide was really enthusiastic and patient to show us in and around the jungle. The Tharu cultural dance and food was an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends."

"While I was visiting Bardia National Park I stayed at the Forest Hideaway and I was very pleased with the accommodations, food and services. My room was clean and quiet with a hot shower and WiFi. My time in Bardia was divided between Jeep Safaris and hiking in the Park, if I was to go again I would skip the Jeep Safaris and simply hike as the Forest and Grassland of Bardia are very beautiful and excellent for viewing wildlife. I had the good fortune to have been paired with an excellent guide by the name of Paddam Tharu. I found him to be a wealth of knowledge concerning the Flora and Fauna of Bardia. By the end of my 5 days at Forest Hideaway I had viewed for extended periods of time Two Rhinos, several Elephants and two Tigers in addition to several varieties of Deer, Monkeys as well as a large Monitor Lizard and countless varieties of Birds."

"Værten, Rajan, hans to sønner, Avi og BJ var store.De går ud af deres vej for at sikre, at du har en stor oplevelse.Bedsteværelserne er store og rene. Udendørs spise- og siddeplads er stor og ligger i jorden med frugt og andre tropiske planter.Rajan s kone laver alle de nærende og smagsfulde måltider. Ligesom mange i Bardiya har boligen haft svære tider med jordskælvet og pandemien, der påvirker deres indkomst.Vores guide, Mehindra, for vandreture, jeep, camping og rafting oplevelser, gjorde sit bedste for at vise os alt, hvad Bardiya måtte tilbyde. Vi så mange store dyremærker, men tigrene og elefantbesætningerne gemte sig.Men vi så en tyr elefant, tre en hornet rhino og krokodiller, sammen med forskellige fugle, aber osv. Som Avi og BJ støtter denne lejlighed, tror jeg, de vil hjælpe med at drive nogle ændringer og hjælpe med at øge patronaget, hvilket vil hjælpe med at opdatere og forbedre lejligheden. "
