"I checked in around 9:30 PM. It was my first time checking into a room on the 3rd floor, and I was shocked to find someone already inside after swiping my key (I even got yelled at by the person checking in). I called the front desk and was told to come down and check in again. I went downstairs with my suitcase. This time, I was staying on the 2nd floor. I was shocked again when I opened the door – the bedding was a mess! I immediately called the manager. The manager came upstairs, and I could feel his sincerity. He helped me change rooms. The floor was still damp after being cleaned, but I was too tired from a business trip to bother changing. The manager said as long as it was safe, it was fine (he brought a bag of hotel snacks, so the room was probably an upgrade). After putting my luggage down, I started an online meeting until 1 AM. After washing up and getting ready to sleep, I found the blankets were damp (both sheets and duvet cover). I really didn't have the energy to find someone to change them. As I drifted off to sleep, mosquitoes buzzed around – there were mosquitoes! What angered me most was the hotel front desk staff; they were completely cold and indifferent. Did I owe them money?"
