"This hotel is conveniently located directly across from the Banff High School Transit Hub, which is the starting point for buses to Lake Louise, Johnston Canyon, the Banff Gondola, and all the major ski resorts. Plus, it's just a short walk to Banff's main commercial area. The only downside is that the soundproofing in the rooms isn't great. However, this is a common issue with most hotels in Banff due to their wooden construction."

"Actually, living here is a great choice if your roommates are nice and don't snore. There's a bus stop right outside and a bar inside, so you don't have to worry about being bored at night or having to walk a long way back from the city late. The only downside is that my iPhone 16 Pro couldn't connect to their Wi-Fi. I kept getting blocked by privacy issues. Although I have my own unlimited data plan, the signal here is generally bad, so that's the only thing to be aware of, depending on whether you care."

"The location was excellent, but the facilities were old and the staff were not particularly friendly. Since the building is made of wood, when you are in the room, you can clearly hear footsteps from people passing in the hallway, the creaking of suitcases, and the creaking of wood from the floor above. Additionally, because the window faces the hallway, it was inconvenient not being able to open the curtains even during the day. On the day we checked in, the room key malfunctioned, and contacting them was cumbersome because the information desk was located far away. It is not a hotel I would want to stay at again."

The outdoor hot tubs and mountain views were amazing after a day of exploring Banff. The location was convenient, with easy access to downtown and nearby attractions. The breakfast was good and the overall atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. Excellent value for money and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!"

"Our stay at Caribou Lodge was perfect! Exactly what we were expecting. The proximity to downtown is great - 10 minute walk or you could take the ROAM bus straight downtown. The hotel has character and we had the perfect stay. All staff was super friendly and inviting. The front desk employee was super helpful and explained our ROAM passes and the other amenities perfectly. Loved that Rocky Mountain Soap Co was in all the bathrooms, too! All in all, a great experience for a great price and I would highly recommend it. "

They have a shuttle bus service to the downtown center, but it's also a pleasant 10-minute walk. Very convenient! "The room was really clean and the bed was comfortable. Wasn’t happy about the Spa as the sauna was not hot enough and the dial to increase the temperature didn’t work. The whirlpool was a nice temperature. The restaurant at the hotel was giving smaller portions but charging high prices. I ordered a large salad for dinner and got something comparable to a small salad. The waiter was impatient as he wanted to run over with the payment machine as soon as I had finished my salad and tea."
