"We had the most wonderful stay at Living Heritage Koslanda. The staff were amazing, the food was delicious and the setting was perfect. We stayed in Jungle Pavillion so there was a frog or two but the birdsong was delightful and it was very romantic! We had a super guide, Karun, who guided us to the top of the Diyalima Waterfall which was spectacular. He took us to the best parts and there were very few people around. It is remote but the swimming pool was gorgeous and just being there made us happy. As did a couple of massages by the résident masseurs. It has been a high point of our trip. Thank you!"

"This was the worse stay I ever had in my life. I ended up in Daria and puking. The kitchen was a mess and the food was really bad. Nobody should ever go to this place. And the place is not as in the picture. They charge a really high rate but they don’t even responsible for what they charge for. They don’t even change the bed covers or replace towels."

"The hotel is nestled in the mountains, with a beautiful environment and a large terrace. The owners are a very kind couple, and the breakfast is plentiful, with delicious black tea. There are many photo opportunities around the hotel; I even captured the starry sky, the Milky Way, and fireflies from the terrace. It's incredibly good value for money and highly recommended."

"We were two couples who booked this property for two nights, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a complete nightmare. From the very first night, the experience was alarming. Upon entering our room, we found a squirrel and a large mouse inside. This was extremely frightening, and we spent the entire night anxious and unable to rest. To make matters worse, after 11 PM the property staff switched off their phones, leaving us with no support during an emergency. The rooms have open roof gaps, which allow animals like mice and squirrels to freely enter. We raised this issue after the first night, and the management changed our rooms for the second night. Sadly, the problem continued. There were monkeys on the roof, and during the second night, an animal (most likely a mouse) ate the strawberries, milk pudding, and other food kept in the room. Another unsettling aspect was that out of nearly 25 rooms, only our two rooms were occupied. The entire property felt deserted and isolated, located deep in the jungle, which made the experience even more uncomfortable and unsafe. Access to the property is only via a cable car, which felt highly unreliable and unsafe, as if it could stop or fail at any moment. After checking other reviews, we learned that if the cable car stops working, there is no alternative access—guests are expected to hike to or from the property, which is completely impractical. Additionally, the resort is located around 10–15 km outside Ella, so you miss out on Ella’s pleasant weather and convenience altogether. Overall, we strongly do not recommend booking this property. The safety concerns, lack of staff support, wildlife intrusion, and poor accessibility make it an extremely stressful experience rather than a relaxing stay."

Alt er kogt frisk og på det tidspunkt, så du skal sikkert vente, men det er en rigtig gave til en meget god pris kvalitet forhold. Vi er ikke blevet skuffet af nogen mad eller noget frisk frugtjuice. Teamet er charmerende og opmærksom. Jeg anbefaler kraftigt!"

"We had an amazing stay in this house! It was beautiful and the area was very green. The bedroom was great and the bed was very comfortable. The living room was also a great place to do some games in the evening. There wse also great service. The two men made us breakfast and dinner if we wanted to, and we ate curry but you can also eat fries with chicken. They also gave us coffee and tea and they did all the dishes and cleaning. Every day they cleaned the bed and the bathroom. Location was great. We went to Ella and Bandaruwela by tuktuk and they were a lot of beautiful plantes and trees around the house! We had an amazing stay!"
