"Vi havde et meget behageligt ophold på dette hotel. Det, der gør det helt specielt, er dets unikke beliggenhed: beliggende på en lille ø kun 10 minutter med båd fra fastlandet, føles det virkelig som at være alene i verden. Omgivelserne er fredelige, charmerende og smukt afsidesliggende. Poolen er dejlig, den lille strand er meget behagelig, og frem for alt er personalets venlighed exceptionel. Teamet er opmærksomt, varmt og bidrager virkelig til den samlede oplevelse. På den negative side er spisemulighederne begrænset til hotellets restaurant, medmindre man tager båden tilbage til fastlandet, fordi øen er ret isoleret. Dette gør både værelsespriserne (selvom udsigten er smuk) og madpriserne noget høje. Vi var en familie på fem, tilføjede en ekstra seng og anmodede om tidlig indtjekning, hvilket øgede den endelige regning for vores to-nætters ophold betydeligt. Den samlede pris endte med at blive ret betydelig. Når det er sagt, havde vi stadig en vidunderlig tid og har meget gode minder fra vores ophold. Det er et smukt og specielt sted generelt."

"We reached out to the owner and they were responsive. The place is quite like I wanted since we brought our Son with us. The staffs are friendly and accommodating. The beach is 3-4 mins walk and was incredibly amazing. We enjoyed our stay, did not expect the room was huge, the cr was huge too!! Was able to cook. Overall, I wanna go back!! Thank you Homestay!!"

"We visited Marika Beach Resort in Badian today and left feeling quite disappointed by the lack of clear communication and overall value. Upon arrival, we asked about the day pass and were told it was ₱750 per person. Based on that, we initially hesitated but later decided to stay and ordered drinks while settling in. Shortly after, we were informed that the beachfront cabanas are only for checked-in guests, which is understandable. However, we were then told that the ₱750 fee applies to everyone, including very young children. We were expected to pay the full rate for our 4-year-old and 2-year-old, bringing the total to ₱3,750. This was not made clear at the outset, and had we known the full cost upfront, we would not have considered staying. We were willing to pay for the three adults and had planned to stay for both lunch and dinner, so we likely would have spent a significant amount on food and drinks during the day. Instead, the pricing structure made it feel unreasonable for what we needed at the time, which was simply a place to relax briefly and shower after using the public beach. When paying for our drinks, we mentioned we might return later for dinner. We were told that walk-in guests would not be accommodated due to a booking of around 20 people. However, when we passed by again later that evening, the resort appeared quiet. Overall, while the setting itself looks pleasant, the experience felt inconsistent and poorly communicated. Greater transparency on pricing (especially regarding young children) and clearer, more reliable information about availability would significantly improve the guest experience."
