"Ladies and gentlemen, perhaps it was a coincidence, but my stay at this hotel was so uncomfortable that I had to leave in a hurry after two days instead of the planned four. Let's take it from there. Our room was on the ninth floor (928). When we entered, the thermometer showed 36°C (96°F). It was impossible to stay indoors. It was 14°C (55°F) outside, and the radiators in the room were so hot that they were impossible to touch. A technician was dispatched to resolve the issue, but he couldn't fix it locally and instead shut off the heating on the entire floor. This partially resolved the problem, and the room temperature dropped to 30°C (96°F) with the windows and front door still open. Meanwhile, the air conditioning system wasn't working. The drafts and stuffiness caused by this unpreparedness affected my family's health. Furthermore, the plumbing in the room was so poorly maintained that it was impossible to flush the water after taking a bath. The valve was rusted and no longer worked. The overflow valve in the bathtub, located on the vertical wall, drained water not into the drain but onto the floor under the bathtub. The stone support under the sink tilted when my three-year-old son leaned on it—it was terrifying! Ultimately, we decided to leave this awful place for another hotel. We explained the shortcomings of our stay to the hotel manager without any arguments. We were offered an upgrade to a suite, but our mood was so soured that we wanted to leave as soon as possible. We asked for a refund for the days we didn't stay, which was refused. The hotel manager later contacted us and offered to come pick up the money, but we had already left Astana."

"The restaurant staff is NOT so nice, they don't meet you up in the friendly way and with the smile. However, we experienced the worst scenario than the 'Smile'. During the breakfast, I asked the young russian waitress, who was NOT older than 25 y.o., ''The Toast with the Butter''. In russian I said: ''Toast with Maslom''. She couldn't hear properly what I said and I just repeated ''MASLA''. However, she corrected me straight away ''MASLO (NOT MASLA)''. I replied to her: ''I dont' speak a good russian. I forgot it and I'm NOT obliged to know it. I could make a HUGE NOISE there but I was NOT alone and it prevented me from putting this waitres to her place. I complained to the reception and one of them assured me to talk to her but I'm not sure if any of them talked to her about her behaviour towards guests or not. This young waiteress was disgusting person."
