"Stayed the night last night for 1 night. The hotel is being renovated. Our room (229) was supposed to have been completed judging by the new paint and carpet. However we wonder if the room was snagged? The sink wouldn’t drain, same with the shower, which wouldn’t point downwards but twisted to spray the poorly sealed bathroom wall. The toilet flushed then ran water all night. The air conditioning didn’t work. There was a piece of wood trim left in the corner. Breakfast was served in the restaurant. It was ok, but the crispness of the food was compromised by sweating in its heated trays. We brought the room to the attention of management, that to take a crap we needed to use the restrooms of reception isn’t really acceptable, likewise having to use all the towels to stop the bathroom flood after showering. Wondering why we bothered…"

"The room was bigger than expected and had a patio to sit out on, the bed was comfy and everything is situated a short walk from the mews rooms. I did notice the bathroom was a bit dirty and the hot water for the shower went completely this morning. The maintenance man had to come out and fix the boiler to rectify the issue. The location is absolutely stunning and the gardens are well kept. It is really a beautiful part of the UK and the main manor building is lovely. The gardenia restaurant is closed a few days of the week for dinner and also breakfast which I didn’t think was ideal. So we had to go outside to eat dinner as the spa restaurant wasn’t really what I was looking for, for a nice evening meal. For breakfast we had to go to the sage spa restaurant which had a very limited selection of food. There were about 6 dishes to choose from, they said The chef doesn’t cook scrambled egg which is a breakfast essential so I basically had to have a plate of toast. As there was nothing that I wanted on the menu and I was told the smoothie machine was broken so I couldn’t even opt for that instead. This happened straight after the hot water had gone so was a bit of a dampener. I came to the hotel a few years ago when you didn’t have to pay for the spa access but now you do which is a bit annoying. Especially as you can only visit during breakfast or dinner hours even with the £20 surcharge. So then you have to either eat very late at night or have a late lunch otherwise the £20 won’t be well spent and you’d have to leave the spa after an hour"

"Staff member George has been very amenable to helping whenever on shift, a very friendly personality. Seems to be very hardworking and and tailors customers/guests needs to individual needs as suited. George seems to check that every communal space is clean, stocked for the customers and is always prompt to serve both at the bar and front desk. I have been very appreciative of his hospitality representing Travelodge, a very worthwhile hotel."

"Hvad en fantastisk skjult gemt er dette.Nestled på en bakketop, der ser på marcher med Warehorn kirke over vejen, er denne pub med værelser en nødvendighed for en romantisk at komme væk. Vi ankom tidligt og havde en drink i baren, som er smukt kvik, en velkommen log brand og et bredt udvalg af drikkevarer. Vi havde booket "Niddy" et aktisk værelse med så meget at give, en behagelig seng, rulle top badeværelse og så meget karakter. Den eneste nigger, jeg havde med rummet, var toilettet...................................................................................... Vi fik et stille bord til middag, og igen kunne vi ikke tro det, det var super romantisk og vi havde hele rummet til os selv. Vores holder Muli var så god, han var opmærksom, men ikke indtrængende, og så sjov, vi har ikke fået mange måltider ud, og han lavede aftenen virkelig. Maden var fremragende, og den veganske burger var en af de bedste, jeg nogensinde har haft. Lokaliteten var glimrende, hvis du er i gang, cykling, fuglevagt eller ønsker at besøge lokale steder (rye var kun 20min kørsel væk) Resten af personalet var også geniale, og kunne ikke gøre nok for os. Vi vil helt sikkert vende tilbage."
