Everything was just perfect: the rooms were very clean, the staff attentive and always willing to help, the breakfasts at the restaurant were great! Everything at the hotel gives the impression of good management, attention to details and hospitality, and we are happy to have chosen this hotel for our stay!"

"This is budget accomodation. In no particular order. Good Wi Fi, comfortable bed with a good mosquito net. Room ok size, as was the bathroom. No hot water. A stone throw from the beach and plenty of good quality restaraunts and cafes nearby. Of note was a good hand made jewellery shop, on the main road, which makes silver jewellery. Repairs can also be done at the same shop."

"We had with our family including two children of 9 and 12 surf lessons We went to a beautiful surf spot with the boards on the tuktuk. Sattam was our teacher/ surf instructor and was very friendly and helpful and made us stand on our surfboard for the very first time!!! Sattan, thank you for the great experience I can definitely recommend it!"

"Vi var indchecket i hotellet som et mellemrum i nogle af nattene. Receptionen var ikke for hjertelig. Der var også problemer med betaling eller bevis for det. Toiletten fungerede ikke i første omgang, ligesom bruseren. Også vandet, der kom ud af bruseren, brød, da vi arbejdede på denne ubehagelige. Under vores fire nætters ophold blev hverken håndklæder eller sengetøj eller senge gjort. Også vandet blev ikke fyldt. Værelserne var alle på en åben korridor, så støjen fra turistkøler, indtil meget senere timer. Alt i alt ville vi ikke bestille her igen."

"Location is ideal - right on the main put tucked away in the foliage of the jungle so you don’t hear it. Very pretty yoga deck & clean rooms. Pool is a bit too shaded for my liking from all the trees & quite buggy. But other than that, the hospitality was great & restaurant is very good as well!"

"The owner is a huge bluff and a liar. we stayed there for 3 days via booking. We did not receive a bill when paying and he canceled the booking when we were gone to put the booking money in his pocket. We also had to pay 25 euros in tax for 3 days. When we called him later, he kept disconnecting. Definitely not recommended!!!! Plenty of choice in the area"

"yoga eat surf amazing sleep "Fantastic" I loved my stay at star Rest Surf Camp Arugambay , the team or should I say family are so welcoming, just waiting in anyway they can to help! Flexible schedules allow you to enjoy each day how you want to, and did I mention the food...... it is amazing! - healthy and so delicious, we were spoilt for choice at breakfast. Afternoons an excellent coffee (and homemade cake:-) at Loose Keys coffee shop at the entrance was another highlight. Surfing and yoga was great fun to learn with very proficient and patient instructors. If you want to go out in the evening, the team will gladly help to find the right venue. All in all I loved every aspect of my stay!! Can hardly wait to go back! I highly recommend this place to stay in the world 🏡🤝👍🌴"

"My partner and I had an amazing stay at Paddyway. We did a six day surf camp and our instructor Jemsen was incredibly helpful. I feel like we both saw a lot of progression in the 6 days. We had breakfast at Paddyway every morning and it was always delicious. The staff was very helpful. Even when we did an early surf, they would give us fruit to go and breakfast whenever we came back. We attended two yoga classes as part of our surf camp and they were very helpful to our muscular recovery. Our room was gorgeous. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and when we first came into the room, it was already cool from the AC and it smelled absolutely amazing. They really did a great job of providing a luxurious experience. We also loved having our own WiFi in our room. The connection was always working unlike other places in town. We had a memorable stay and are very grateful to the incredible staff and instructors!"

"Do not waste your money. Good luck finding the same rude staff member twice. Rarely anyone at reception except tuk tuk drivers. The bathroom is the dirtiest I have ever seen in a hotel. It was way over priced for this area in this condition. If you book in person as we did , and I advise you don't, get a written receipt because it's unlikely there will be a record of your booking at reception. The water in the swimming pool looked like soup. For a fairly new place everything was in disrepair. Broken path tiles, wires sticking out where lights should be, generally a disaster zone. Only positive the air con was cold."

They recommend best taxi service (Arugam Bay Taxi) us to go Negombo. Friendly driver and he stoped us some placea for having food. That was great. Value for the stay. Highly recommended this place."
