"We are surprised to read a few negative reviews of this place and its staff because our experience entirely was wonderful. The cabins are very modern, high tech, fully equipped and impecable. We enjoyed jet skis, cayaques, water skiing, swimming and trampoline, fishing, barbecue and hot tub. Most importantly, the staff on site was extremely friendly and helpful, making sure we had a perfect stay. From 6 to 58 years old, we all had a blast. We live this place and look forward to returning some day. From the moment we made our reservation, they clearly explained their alcohol policy, provided a list of their in stock beverages and even offered to purchase for us any other alcohol we wanted to consume on site. We found their list to be vary and reasonably priced. "

"Visited this hotel while on a tour with Caledonian Travel. Ok the hotel is dated, but in my eyes that adds to the character. Food was fine, staff very helpful and friendly. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would return."

"Som en kvindelig solorejsende følte jeg mig helt sikker, var herren smuk på receptionen og med at gemme min bagage før og efter check ind.Væggene er tynde, men ingen var rød, så det gik ret efter kl. 9.30 i en weekend. Ret foden af fodsporene til munros - jeg vil være tilbage!"

"It is a medieval castle-style hotel with a sense of age. There is a kind white-haired British old man sitting in front of the service desk, working seriously. It feels like he has returned to decades ago, which is very artistic. In front of the hotel is Loch Lomond, with beautiful scenery."

"Avoid at all costs! Stayed in the house for three days for a family celebration which cost £4200. We left the house in a clean and great condition with no damages. Then £500 was unexpectedly taken from our card after leaving so we thought there had been a mistake. Contacted them to find out we had been charged this because one of the children had been sick in her bed and on her pillow and on a cushion. We had used a towel to clean this up so their excuse was that the bedding and towels all had to be thrown out and replaced and this couldn’t be washed. The site manager was also very intrusive. Leaving guests for quite a long period of time before letting them in and out of the property. She also told us she was watching us on cctv. Overall the place is beautiful, but we felt her presence and over assertiveness ruined it and the £500 charge at the end was a total scam. I would expect sheets, pillows and towels to be washed after every stay, replaced in certain circumstances due to accidents like children being sick without a £500 cost. Not worth the money. "

"Lovely location, overlooking Loch Long. Made very welcome by all the staff working there. The rooms were clean and adequate for our stay, However the building interior could do with a bit of love. Overall, good value for money, we went with Caledonian Travel, a 5 day break, inclusive. One watch out would be the included excursions, being taken to Oban or Fort William, we saw amazing scenery, however 4 hours in each place is far too long, if you are offered an additional excursion to take up some time , do it. Our main driver was Richard, who had good knowledge of the area and was a great guide. What ever upgrades they do in the hotel I am sure will be welcome , but don’t change the staff they are amazing."
