"This is a perfect hotel for couples to relax and have a romantic experience, located in the heart of Crete. The hotel and surrounding grounds are beautiful with meticulous attention to detail throughout. The restaurant here is really first class and serves food of a Michelin star quality with an emphasis on Cretan cuisine. A particular highlight was the wine tasting led by Stelios. A fantastic selection of Cretan wines that were interesting and delicious. We learned a lot from Stelios, who guided us expertly through the history of wine making in Crete and the flavour profiles of the wines. Fantastic experience and excellent value for money. We will be coming again."

"Hotel was located in a great area, close to the beach, plenty of bars and restaurants, travel shops for day trips and ATMs. However the hotel itself has a lot to answer to. The day we arrived we were not told of times for breakfast lunch and dinner, no wrist band provided which I found odd due to the bar being open to public as well as the guests at the hotel. The man on the reception was really creepy and made me, my mam and sister very uncomfortable. He actually told my sister to come back later on her own as he had a secret to tell her and we weren't the only targets so if your going on holiday by yourself I would not recommend this hotel. I put a chair infront of my hotel of a night time just because he made me feel unsafe. The positives of the hotel was the food was lovely, very authentic to Greece. I can't complain about that however if you're going as a family with either fussy eaters or young children there isn't a great variety for children that would not usually eat something out of their comfort zone. The bar was another downfall to the hotel. We was all inclusive however the drink choice was not great. I like a good variety of cocktails and this hotel had only two different ones, as well as dry wine and no Prosecco. The lady on the bar was nothing but rude. Made everyone in the hotel feel like an inconvenience, she was miserable and constantly either on her phone voice messaging or nowhere to be seen. She also pick of chose when to close the bar. When the website states 11pm and she closes anywhere between 10/10.30. She also selectively chose who she liked and didn't liked given us who she didn't a plastic cup for all of our drinks and glasses and big portions of drinks to those she liked. There was also no music around the pool or the bar. The lady behind the bar had white music for herself! The only alcoholic drink that was nice was a mojito or a baileys however with the baileys she did 1/4 measurements. The shower was a-bit minging if I'm honest dirty and if your a tall or larger person you aren't gonna have much luck trying to get a wash. The pictures on their website are not even there pictures either and from a hotel down the road so really it's false advertisement. And they tried to over charge us hotel tax as the end of the stay when on the first day was told €12 for four nights and then when we checked out they tried to charge us €48 which makes me think it was due avoiding the creepy man as it was a lovely lady on reception on the last day of stay."

Guests come here to unwind, not to party. As a standard courtesy information—there’s a €10 per night tourist tax per room, which is common throughout Crete and must be paid on arrival."

"Vi boede for nylig i Villa Olive i Adelianos Kampos, tæt på Rethymno, og havde en meget behagelig oplevelse. Dette charmerende boutique hotel tilbyder en velkommen og afslappet atmosfære, hvilket gør det et fremragende valg for enhver, der leder efter en komfortabel ophold i denne del af Kreta. Personalet var usædvanligt venligt, smilende og ægte velkommen i hele vores besøg, der hjalp med at skabe en varm og sjov oplevelse.Hotellet har et smukt poolområde, og vores værelse var rummeligt og veludstyret. En særlig fremhævelse var badeværelset, som havde en enorm bruser og masser af plads.Frugt var fremragende, med et godt udvalg af friske og smagsfulde muligheder for at starte dagen. Den eneste nedadgående side under vores ophold var, at luftkonditioneringen i rummet ikke fungerede effektivt.Da det var en særlig varm aften, gjorde det svært at nyde rummet fuldt ud og få komfort over natten. Trods dette spørgsmål er Villa Olive et smukt hotel med stor service og en velkommen atmosfære.Hvis du leder efter et godt mellemrumshotel i Rethymno-området i Kreta, vil jeg helt sikkert anbefale det."

"Vi tilbragte to uger i Caramel Suite i juni.Værelset var smukt og havde stor terrasse.Værelset var meget rent, ligesom resten af hotellet og grundene. Alle personalet var meget professionelle, venlige, hjælpsomme og høflige: Man fik at føle sig meget velkommen og speciel.Vi spiste i alle restauranter på stedet: alle forskellige niveauer og var perfekte.Et sportsprogram blev inkluderet af Carina. Jeg deltog kun i vandgymnastik og Pilates under palmetræer.Vandgymnastik var god sjov, ikke så let som det ser ud og var altid anderledes.Alle blev velkommen til trods for forskellige evner. Pilates var også anderledes hver gang, og hun tog sig af at give råd og rette fejl.Det var sjovt og meget godt.Hotellets gæster var hovedsagelig familier med unge børn og babyer eller mere modne par. Jeg vil gerne anbefale dette hotel."

Værelserne var rummelige, smukt dekorerede og meget komfortabel.Husholdning gjorde et fremragende job, og alt blev opretholdt til god standard.Personalet var professionel, venlig og altid villig til at hjælpe, hvilket gjorde vores ophold endnu mere behageligt. "Very friendly they couldn't do enough for there guests ,I asked for a bigger room which was done straight away without any problems, I also didn't have a kettle iny room ,I asked for one ,this was also taken care of promptly. food was very nice , cooked fresh every evening had good 3 courseeal every evening also good selection for breakfast, Pool bar was also open which was great for drinks round the pool and lunch Great place to relax and chill out on holiday"

"The hotel was very good for our holiday with our kids! The water park was good enough for our kids and even the kids club was lovely. The staff was really friendly and helpful all the time. We had the room with private pool and it was lovely. Beds are really comfortable, bathroom may need some upgrade but still ok. Food was also very good."

"Blev i fem dage på dette hotel, og det var det mest afslappende hotel nogensinde.Guderne er alle virkelig venlige og vil gøre alt for at hjælpe.Bedøvsen var virkelig god og buffetstil. Alt det sædvanlige kød og ost, brød, yoghurt og frugt.Den bedste feta ost, jeg nogensinde har smagt.Og de mest lækkere græsarealer.Pool var ren og ingen kampe for loungerne, altid et sted at sidde. Det eneste problem, vi havde, var bakken, som den er på, jeg havde ingen problemer med den, men min 77-årige mor gjorde, busstoppested og supermarked på bunden af den hårde bakke og skal gå op, når du kommer tilbage. Og der er masser af trin op til hotelreceptionen og derefter op til værelserne, hvis du er på anden sal.Bestemt ikke for folk med gåspørgsmål, men hvis du ikke har problemer, er dette det perfekte sted for en afslappet tid"

"This is a wonderful hotel, the staff are amazing. We've just returned for a second time, its quiet, close to the beach and the choice of tasty food is brilliant. This time we took elderley parents everyone couldn't have been more friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Elena, suggested some tailored days out to a winery, villages and a monastary. All with a great local taxi company, due to the mobility needs we had. We'd highly recommend, for anyone wanting a quiet friendly hotel."

"We have just returned from our first family holiday abroad as a 4 to Aquila Rithymna Beach Hotel, and had a great time. The staff were friendly & polite, and the rooms spotlessly cleaned every day. We were Bed & Breakfast, and found the morning buffet to be excellent. So many choices - pastries, bread, cold meats & cheeses, fresh fruit and vegetables, olive oils, cooked options, crepes, juices and even prosseco! Fresh pots of coffee made for your table were also very well received by 2 tired parents. Our kids especially loved the Greek yoghurt, crepes and traditional Greek pastries :) The en site mini market is really well stocked with everything from sun creams, postcards and water to confectionery, hats, sanitary products, children's toys and swimming gear. Pricier than the local strip shops, but obviously very handy when you can't be bothered going further afield. The pools were lovely - we found the smaller two to be the most pleasant. More chance of nabbing a sunbed turning up after 10am, and still plenty space for the little ones to splash about and hone their swim skills. We could never get the app on the sun loungers to work for ordering drinks which was quite frustrating though! I used the spa one day for a facial and Cretan massage, which I cannot recommend enough. Very relaxing space with lovely ambiance, I wish I'd had time to return before we left! Tasty Corner was an amazing find, children of all boards can eat for free there from 11am every day (snacks, lunch and dinner provided). This was the best find of our holiday - both boys loved the food and we discovered some new things they love eating which we have gone on to buy since getting home! Especial shout out to the really lovely staff there who were super friendly, and even made some baby food especially for our youngest on one occasion :) it was a lovely atmosphere, very clean, and a highlight of our day wandering up. They also had kids sized toilets which were very useful! Special shout out to the kids entertainers as well - our eldest was especially taken with some of the evening shows. Most visitors seemed to be Czech, French or Italian but there was plenty going on in English so he didn't feel left out. Only downside was the extend to which the beach was pebbly. I would say swim shoes are a necessity rather than a nice-to-have, as we found barefoot walking very painful. This also put paid to our sandcastle dreams, so I would bare this in mind if you are looking for a soft sand beach. All in all, a lovely introduction to one of our favourite holiday destinations for our kids and somewhere I would recommend to any family looking for an easy and restful break in the Greek sunshine."

"Utrolig venligt og opmærksomt personale. Meget varmt og imødekommende. Området er meget velholdt. Poolbaren/restauranten har et meget bredt udvalg til meget rimelige priser. Kvaliteten er helt enestående. Værelserne er typiske for kategorien og i tråd med den lokale stil. Lidt ældre, men velholdte. Det eneste, der ville være rart, er et par flere stikkontakter på værelset. Beliggenheden er perfekt til en familieferie ved stranden. Hotellet ligger lige ved stranden, og det nærmeste supermarked ligger cirka et minuts gang væk. Vi har sjældent følt os så varmt velkomne og hjemme."
