Graziella Patio Hotel

"My partner and I were looking forward to spending the evening in Arezzo. We planned to go to the hotel for the Antique Fair . Unfortunately, the hotel sent an email the day we were supposed to arrive modifying the times the valet service /parking was available. We picked this hotel specifically because of its location and the parking options. The change, though perhaps insignificant to some, was enough of an inconvenience to our plans and expectations that we would have canceled had the email notifying us of the changes to the parking arrangement been sent before the 48-hour "no cancelation window." I called to ask the hotel if we could cancel our reservation and they said no because the request was within the 48-hour window. I tried to explain that, we were canceling because they modified the agreed terms and did not let us know with enough notice for us to cancel, but they were unmoved. They said they cannot be responsible for updating "everybody" when changes occur to what they are offering. I respectfully disagree. I am thankful that they were willing to speak to me in English and they did try and problem solve for us, but it was not sufficient. It is unfair for a hotel to say to a guest that a change in parking is insignificant because guests "only have to walk a little farther." It ignores the reality that a guest might be in a wheel chair, using braces, tired, or just old. The manager offered a voucher (and emailed us a voucher), but I do not see myself staying at Graziella Patio Hotel when I return to Arezzo. We ended up canceling our reservation without a refund."

Vogue Hotel Arezzo

"The hotel is very conveniently located some 100 Meters outside the old city. This has the advantage that the car may be parked a very short walk away on a public parking. The hotel is in a newly and completly refurbished old building. We had a standard room which was very large, traditionally, but nicely decorated. Excellent bed, quite at night. what was a little strange is that a large bathtub was standing in room and also was seerved as the visual divider to the washbasin (so virtually no protection); the toilet was separate, though. Staff is professional, but quite unpersonal. It has to be mentioned that value for money is such a touristic place is extraordinary."

"You will struggle to find a better place to spend a relaxing holiday....anywhere! The rooms are spacious and very comfortable with all the small details you would hope to find in a luxury hotel. The staff are exceptional - kind, friendly and attentive (but not intrusive). The restaurant is a real treat with a compact but outstanding menu of expertly prepared, almost exclusively home/farm produce served in a romantic setting."

What we disliked · The owner was not available even to collect documents. Poor sleep quality. The area didn't seem to be among the best in Arezzo, and I think you could find better for the services offered and the price. Not recommended."

Hotel Piero Della Francesca

"Absolutely negative experience. They demanded that the room be paid for the evening before check out. My two children stayed overnight for three nights. My daughter left a day early for work. So on the last night my son stayed overnight alone. It was a gift from their grandmother for Christmas, which she would pay for at check out as is appropriate. The manager called my son to the room at 11.30pm demanding that he come down to pay...If he hadn't done so they would have taken action...Shameful!!! I hope anyone who intends to stay in this hotel thinks not twice but ten times!!! Oh, by the way!!! Terrible breakfast...hard croissants, poor quality products...don't pay for breakfast because there is a good bar 100 meters away."

"Vi ankom uden reservation og blev vist et lille værelse på toppen af trappen.Denne bygning er fra 600'erne og det var spændende at være i den.Værelse var meget ren med et lille bord og stol, lille sofa og stort badeværelse. Vi forsøgte derefter at finde en parkeringsplads og var ikke i stand til, så vi vendte tilbage til hotellet og bad om råd. Vi fik at vide, at vi kunne annullere, men fordi vi kørte vores bil til hotellet (i fodgængerzonen) ville vi blive bødet 86 euro, og vi måtte stadig ikke parkere. Receptionen syntes ikke at bekymre sig om vores dilemma, men en mand krydsede gaden og tilbød at hjælpe os med at forstå, at det er almindelig praksis at ringe til en garage og have en taxi over at hente en lejebil og køre den til garagen og næste dag Vi kunne ringe til garagen, og de ville levere vores bil tilbage til os, og så ville vi ikke få en billet.Omkostningen var 20 euro for opkrævningen, 40 euro for parkeringsgaraget og derefter 20 euro for vores billevering. Vi sparede et par euro ved at kalde en taxa til at hente vores bil, men den, der skete, var en læringserfaring, for at sige det mindste. Hotellet, selv om det er så historisk, havde virkelig lidt venlig service, men byen selv var smuk om natten, og vi kunne gå rundt og have hotellet så tæt."

"This hotel is run by a great group of women. Sara was friendly and helpful with map directions to sights worthy visiting. A big thank you to Claudia who went out of her way to arrange a takeout breakfast after we told her of our early train on the day of departure. This was much appreciated, thank you. Good wifi. Breakfast has plenty to choose from. Minimalist rooms, clean and simple with enough bathroom ammenities. Hot water could be hotter and the walls could be a bit thicker. The walls are thin! And if you have snoring neighbours, neighbours who are entertaining or friends and families who want to stand outside your door and chat it is a bit much. The outside street noise can be a problem too with groups chatting and singing and unfortunately with no overnight reception there is no one to ask them to move on or call the police if necessary. Would we stay here again? Absolutely. Do we recommend this hotel? Absolutely."
