"The hotel is located in the middle of the day, the hotest of the day, and you can stay in the panoramic pool or read a book in the park under the trees of the century. The spa is beautiful and very spacious , equipped with many water-massing baths at different temperatures, a Turkish bath, two saunas, a salt room, sensory showers and a wide relaxing area . The night is served with pleasant aperitifs outside in the patio, fresh between the ortens. The staff is nice and available. The stay was very pleasant and relaxing"

"I have mixed feelings about this review for reasons that will become clear, but I want to lead up front with the number one problem with this place in the hope that it can influence search engine listings, because right now it's a critical problem. There was an a/c unit in the room, but when I asked for the remote control I was told that the air conditioning "is not working". There are air conditioning units in many rooms - they're individual units not central air - but the hotel has removed the a/c remote controls from each room and maybe the fuses from each unit, and they can't be turned on. Instead the room had an ancient floor fan that roared and clanked all night and prevented us from sleeping but was marginally preferable to cooking in a stew of our own sweat. I had booked this place as a nice overnight treat for my wife after a long and tough working year: we expected comfort, spa treatments, and relaxation, and we got none. To pre-empt a possible intemperate response from the management that I saw on another review which complained about the same thing, no the website does not specifically say that the hotel has air conditioning but A) an a/c unit is visible in at least one of your publicity photos and B) so what? It is expected in a place that bills itself as a "resort". You already have it installed, and on the hottest days of the year in the middle of a heatwave, for guests to arrive at a "resort" and find that the one thing you might expect from a place that presents itself as a "resort" has been deliberately disabled is unforgiveable. The room was tired and needed a bit of love, but it was large and adequate. The balcony needed a lot of work to make it presentable. The pool appeared to be full of algae and the spa was somewhat out of service, though we were able to visit it the next morning. The spa is vast, with so much potential, but it is unmaintained, tired and crumbling. Now the positives: The reason this review gets two stars not one is because the staff were exemplary. Especially the hotel manager, who could not have been kinder or more responsive, even though he clearly is working with inadequate resources. The views down the valley and over the hills are absolutely breathtaking. The breakfast was chaotic but generous. We were offered dinner to make up for our disappointment but declined because we no longer had any trust in the hotel, and they also opened the spa out of hours for us in the morning (pools and sauna) which was kind. This hotel has been acquired in the last couple of years by the BZAR chain. I hope that the inadequacies of the premises are something that will be addressed by the group, and are not as a result of the acquisition. A bit of honesty on the website would not go amiss: tell people about the lack of pool and a/c. Had we known that, we would not have come. Really disappointed and upset that a special break I'd planned for my wife was ruined."
