"Et komfortabelt, godt beliggende hotel i hjertet af Appenzell.Dette er ikke et fantastisk hotel.Vores værelse var en stor 2-værelses suite, der var ren og rolig.Bedøvelse var på den sparsomme side. Du kunne blødt koge dit eget æg, men det var ikke varme indgange.Det var for det meste kolde klipper, ost og brød.Der er ingen aircondition, så det var lidt varmt, da vi besøgte.Vi åbnede vinduerne. Der blev kun betalt parkering i offentlige parkeringspladser, hvis du kører som vi var.Bygningen har en usædvanlig udformning. "

Romantik Hotel Säntis

"This typical Swiss chalet style hotel sits on Appenzell’s main square. Convenient to all areas of this little town you do not need a car. We had a Junior Suite (which are the largest of the hotel) consisting of an ample open plan room with a sofa and 2 armchairs, a writing desk and a very generous bathroom and closet area. As so common in many Swiss hotels AC is not available. The restaurant has AC and serves typical Swiss quality food from a menu with many choices. Breakfast is basic and served buffet style. WIFI works well and staff are trained."

Hotel Löwen

"I have stayed 3 nights here and have enjoyed every bit of it. I stayed in a single room, it is compact but very decently sized for a solo traveller. It’s clean, comfortable and cosy. Though it’s already May, the temperature did drop to single-digit during my stay so I really appreciate that my room was still comfortably warm. There’s breakfast served 7-10am every morning; just light continental style but sufficient. The hotel is tastefully decorated and all the staff I met have been really lovely and polite. They may not be at the reception all the time but you may reach them via the phone at the counter and they will be over very shortly. Location is great too, barely 5mins walk from the train station and 7mins walk to the supermarket (COOP). I would recommend this hotel without any hesitation."

Hotel Appenzell

"From the moment we arrived in this charming town and saw the facade of the Hotel Appenzell, I felt as if I had truly arrived in Switzerland. We only stayed for one night but it was a delightful place to stay. Our room was large with Old World Charm. We ate dinner in their dining room and it was very good. Breakfast was also good and before we left we went to their bakery area and they made sandwiches for us to take with us to eat on our train trip. We took a great hike up above Appenzell where we had great views of the whole area. We would definitely recommend a stay here!"
