"We are a family of 8, and we rented the entire unit, both downstairs and upstairs, for our stay. The weather was cold during our visit, but the beds were equipped with heaters, which made for a very comfortable night’s sleep. Each floor has its own bathroom and kitchen, which was incredibly convenient for our large group. The bathrooms came with basic toiletries, although there was no toothpaste provided, so be sure to bring your own. The kitchens were well-equipped and functional, with simple seasonings like salt and pepper. We brought our own cooking oil, but everything else was perfect for preparing warm meals for dinner and breakfast. The homestay is located in Marengo. One thing to note is that there are no supermarkets in Marengo itself, but Apollo Bay is just a few minutes' drive away. We recommend stocking up on groceries there before arriving if you plan to cook during your stay. Parking was more than sufficient for our Kia Carnival 8-seater, so we had no trouble with that. The area is wonderfully quiet, making it perfect for a relaxing, peaceful getaway. We had a truly pleasant stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a spacious and comfortable place to stay."

The villa had everything you could possibly need and more, 2 beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms, it was spotlessly clean, the spa bath had a wonderful ocean view. "Points South by The Sea is wonderfully located, within easy reach of Apollo Bay, on a grassy hillside overlooking the rocky beach and continuous lines of breaking waves below and the endless sea stretching to the horizon. Our accommodation iwas delightful - comfortable, spacious, in excellent condition, tastefully decorated and very homely, impeccably clean and well equipped, with a warming wood stove and everything one needs for a pleasant stay, including some generous extras provided by our very pleasant and friendly host."

"I used this hotel on the first day of the Great Ocean Road, when I moved from Melbourne to Apollo Bay. I chose this hotel because it was cheaper than other accommodations. The cleanliness of the room was commensurate with the price, and it felt like a student dormitory. (lol) Towels, hair dryers, shampoo, and other amenities were all provided, so I personally didn't have any problems (no toothbrushes). An international call is required to check in, so be careful about that. If you're looking to keep the price down, this is the place for you."

"The service was extremely poor. The contact number provided connected to a lady who lives outside the property and told us to visit the reception in person. The receptionist was not at the desk and stayed inside a room playing loud music, making it difficult to get his attention from the reception counter. I had to knock loudly for about five minutes before he finally came out. The TV speakers were not working, and the bathroom door lock was also broken. There was no one available to assist or listen to customer concerns."
