"The room was very warm and the air-conditioning could not be lowered so window opened, this gives noise from the street and the station : sad! The room was also a little too tight for 2 people."

"Hygiene: The floor was not clean. We spilled water and used paper towels to wipe the water, but the paper towels were covered with dust and hair. Service: There was a piece of cake in the room, but it was rotten. I called the front desk, but they just took it away and nothing happened. The child wanted to eat the cake and cried for a long time. Environment: The overall environment is OK."

"Enjoyed our stay at Altea house. Very comfortable bed, there is a kettle and coffee in the room and it also had a mini fridge. I really liked the decor of the room, it had a beach vibe. It is on a main road so there is some noise from traffic but it didn't bother us and we slept really well. Very clean room and close to the beach and all the bars and restaurants. The hotel was very helpful and gave us clear information on how to access the property."

"Vi havde en helt utrolig ophold her!Tjenesten var helt top og på lige fod med service vi har fået på 4 og 5 stjerne hoteller. Faktisk oversteg det langt oplevelsen, vi havde på vores næste hotel, en 4-stjernede resort ved havet (til det punkt, vi ønskede vi lige havde boet på Hotel Abaco hele tiden).Alle vi interagerede med var meget venlige og hjælpsomme. Vi blev i Buganvilla værelset, og det blev hurtigt det yndlingshotel, jeg nogensinde har boet i, hvilket betyder, at jeg rejser meget.Arkitekturen er smuk og unik. Udsigten fra badeværelset er perfekt - med den blomstrende væg af begoni i gården suppleret med loftet og stenvæggen i rummet. Jeg elskede at komme tilbage efter middag og have et bad med stringlys i gården, der giver alt en gyldne hue.Bederne er den perfekte fasthed med høj kvalitet hør.Pølserne var også fremragende. Det er sjældent, at hverken min partner eller jeg får halssmerter, når jeg sover i en hotellejr.Desværre, ingen smerte her!Jeg anbefaler stærkt at blive på Hotel Abaco.Hvis vi nogensinde er tilbage i Altea-området, vil vi være tilbage og vil bede om Buganvilla-værelset igen!"

"We stayed two nights here in early September. The hostal is very close to the train station and bus stop if you are arriving by public transport. It’s also very close to the seafront and at the bottom of the rather steep hill into the old town. The door was locked when we arrived as reception isn’t manned routinely but someone came to the door and checked us in quickly. I forgot to ask for the WiFi password at check in and didn’t see anyone at reception to ask after that. It’s not printed in reception or in the room so I had to do without. The room itself was clean and comfortable, the air con wasn’t too noisy and the shower had pretty good pressure. We had to go looking for toilet paper ourselves though as there was none put in the bathroom after the room was cleaned on our second day, again we couldn’t find anyone to ask but we found the closet on our floor where they were stored. I booked the room through *********** and in the days before arrival got emails stating that the card I used for booking couldn’t be verified by the property, I changed it to two different cards but continued to get the messages (all my cards were working fine in Spain) and upon arrival I paid with the first card with no issues. I then got notification through *********** that my reservation had been cancelled – literally 10 minutes after I paid. There was no issue using the room for the duration, I think the property were avoiding paying whatever percentage *********** charge them for the reservation. It was a nuisance for me though. "

"Our stay was 7 nights the girl who checked us in was very pleasant everything we asked of her was sorted The property is situated on top of the town so lots of steps from beach but if you like walking won’t be a problem Very central for restaurants and bars and shops Festival was on so very lively over the weekend but was nice to see Breakfast was excellent plenty of choice we even made sandwiches from it to take to the beach buy a cool bag and freezer blocks Beach very pebbly so you will need beach shoes to enter water Overall our stay was excellent 👍"

"Den bedste geografiske beliggenhed er i Altea-centret, og det er meget bekvemt at besøge byen eller gå til stranden. Det er et meget designet og dejligt hotel, værelset er rent og smukt, alle tjenere er meget venlige og entusiastiske, restauranten hjælper med at drive byen med en hundredeårig Michelin restaurant El Xato og en stor rød vin.Hotellet har en privat parkering, 25-euro-dag. Det er kun de sidste par måneder af året, og det er kun i juli, at online-reservationer er åbne.Det er meget anbefalet!"

"Well what a gem this place is ! Just wanted a 1 night trip to Altea,booked online,it is a little out of town but literally a 5 minute taxi ride.This place is unique.Nothing special from the road bit once you get in it's so quirky,bohemian type of feel.There are only 6 rooms,we had one with a huge terrace,we could have had a party.Thetes an honest bar outside.The pool & grounds...WOW,beautiful, so relaxing & peaceful,they definitely nailed it.Would most definitely stay here again"
