"It's been four years since I've stayed in an Italian hostel. I should have remembered. Italy doesn't do "cheap & nasty". Here there is none of the scrimping & saving you get in other hostels around Europe. Everything is spotlessly clean, ultra modern and works like clockwork. The hostel is in partnership with a hotel about a 5-minute walk away where you have to go to check in and later to return keys and retrieve your €5 deposit. It is also about a 5-minute walk to the Old Town and the harbour. Of course you pay more than you would for a cheap & nasty place, however it's still the cheapest accommodation in Alghero. Very satisfied!"

"I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. The service was terrible, and staff at the reception were extremely rude and disrespectful. The rooms are outdated, with old furniture and poor sound insulation—you can hear everything from the neighboring rooms. To make matters worse, a gardener was cutting grass at 1:00 AM, making it impossible to sleep. Overall, the rooms are tired, the facilities are neglected, and the staff show no regard for guests’ comfort. For couples or anyone looking for a relaxing stay, my advice is to stay far away from this hotel."

"The location is excellent, just off the bustling tourist center, a mere two or three minutes' walk from the city center. Breakfast is served in the open-air cafe, where you can choose your favorites: sandwiches, croissants, fresh orange juice, coffee, and more. The atmosphere is lively, with many locals enjoying breakfast. The room was clean and spacious, though the amenities were minimalist. In short, in this overly commercial city, this is a great place to experience the local life."

"Our first time spending our holiday in an agriturismo and I think we started off very well. From the very beginning with a warm and friendly welcome all the way to our check-out and farewell, we were given great service over our 2-night stay. Good recommendations from the owner of where to visit and eat, although we could easily have just stayed all day by the pool. The accommodation was very well maintained and a lovely mix of modern and rural rustic. A great homemade breakfast to start the day which we had just outside our hotel room on a covered outdoor terrace. It’s also a c.20 minute drive from the centre of Alghero which looked a lovely a vibrant town. We will certainly be back next time we holiday in Sardinia."

"Nice hotel right on the beachfront and a beautiful 20 min walk along the promenade to the old town. The stretch of beach in front of the hotel is nice but not as nice as Maria Pia Beach which is only a 10 min walk along he promenade. Rooms are spotlessly clean and breakfast is light continental. I would say more of a 3 star than a four star. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a great location to walk everywhere. "

"I agree with Mr. Stefanodilodi: let's dissociate ourselves from the incomprehensible negative reviews. But let's remain objective. Unfortunately, Tripadvisor, by not linking reviews to actual stays, as is the case elsewhere, is susceptible to fake contributions. Equally unobjective are the votes exchanged based on the privileged relationship that develops between some guests and the staff of a given establishment. Essentially, and with great objectivity, the Green Hotel is staying afloat thanks to the commitment of its employees, all wonderful and understanding people, while the ownership is clearly struggling. The establishment URGENTLY needs to close for a few months to undergo a major renovation, but it's not easy: given its large and complex structure, the cost involved becomes significant. For those seeking realistic feedback, know that you'll find a structure stuck in the days when Formica furniture was made. You'll find bathrooms in need of updating, overused linens, balcony flowerpots used as ashtrays, fire extinguishers whose calibrations are years out of date, in-room telephones that don't work, and electrical switches that have been out of stock for ages. On the other hand, you'll find courteous staff who take pride in their professionalism, working air conditioning, and uninterrupted running water. Of the old firmament visible on the sign, two stars have been lost over the years. It's not a four-star hotel, but a very worthy two."

"Min ven og jeg blev her på en sardinersk vejtur og nydte erfaringen grundigt.Kun 8 minutters kørsel til centrum af byen, det er i landsbyen omgivet af hestestakler, gårde og oliventræer. Det er meget rustikt og værelserne er ganske grundlæggende, men sengene er komfortabelt, bruseren stærk og a/c god.Frugt er meget god og middag, hvis du vælger at have det fremragende. The staff are outstanding, welcome, friendly and so knowledgeable...we’d return just for them especially the receptionists and lovely breakfast team.An oasis feeling but so close to town !"

"The sea view is really great. The sister at the front desk also helped us upgrade the room type for free. The pool view is also very pleasant. You can sunbathe on the lounge chairs all day. However, the pool is a little dirty. The restaurant tastes ok and the price is basically the same as that of local restaurants. It's just that the room facilities are a bit old. It doesn't look like a five-star hotel of this era. It may also be a common problem of southern European hotels."

"Location amazing just outside old town and in front of unforgettable shoreline, especially in winter setting. Old villa with lots of character and just enough renovation to make stay comfortable without taking away from quaintness. Staff were outstanding, food was very good, resident cat (Miki) provided ample entertainment and also reflected on staff and ownership. Spa and gym had decent facilities, though visits are by appointment. Walk along old town's ramparts and marina was also memorable, as were the grotta di nettuno and the hike to the peak of the capo caccia."
