"The Fairmont Mara was a unique experience for my extended family. Beautiful setting on the Mara River (inhabited by hippos). The upscale tent was roomy and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, especially Rose who was our restaurant server. The safari at Massai Mara was outstanding. Our safari guide David was excellent and made the experience way better than expected. Couldn’t be more satisfied."

"My wife and I were traveling to Africa for the first time to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and were treated like royalty at The Royal Mara. It really was the HIGHLIGHT of our entire trip. The staff was so warm, accommodating and unbelievably kind and understanding. Our happiness was their #1 priority at all times. And the location - sleeping next to the hippos every night, hearing them communicate between one another, and seeing the monkeys run all around the property in the afternoon - added to the beauty of our perfect stay. And since it's located on the reserve, the game drives were incredible right from the very start! We saw every animal (and their babies!) in the Mara and couldn't have asked for a better experience. We want to personally thank all of the staff for being amazing caretakers of us for the entirety of our visit, and specifically: Gilbert for the superb meal service, Simon for the amazing safaris, Anna and Frances for such warm hospitality, and Veronica for being such a wonderful host. She knew it was our anniversary and planned several surprises for us during our stay. The level of care here is truly remarkable and we will cherish these special memories forever - Angelica & Michael"

"Fra starten til afslutningen var det fantastisk.Vi havde de bedste guider Kissami og Wesley, der gik ud af deres vej for at sikre, at vi så alt muligt.Vores bedste oplevelse var mindst en time at se en Leopard lige ved siden af jeep. Vores telt var smukt og så godt udstyret og fredelig.Resten af personalet kunne ikke gøre nok.Vi havde endda vores egen personlige vært, Job, der serverede os alle vores måltider, som var også meget smagfulde. "Fantastic stay. I stayed in Neptune with my family during our safari vacation to Kenya in August 2025. They exceeded my expectations, the tent was very good, had a great view of the river and could see & hear the hippos every morning The staff - excellent, I requested for little celebration for my twins birthday and they did a fantastic job, probably the most unique and sweet birthday yet. Highly impressed and thankful to the staff for making our stay memorable. Special mention to Chef Jacob, every meal was wonderful breakfast, lunch, dinner, never did we have one bad meal. His skills cooking Indian food was surprisingly good. Our buttler Frederick was very good, always available when needed and catered in no time. The staff will pack wonderful, more than sufficient boxes for your game drives. The only thing they need to work on is to have paved pathways from reception to the tents. When it rains it get very difficult to walk to the tents. Location is bit far from the main gate as well. Other than that I can't think of anything negative. Great work guys. Will definitely come back and recommend."
