Stayed 4D3N Pros 1. As a Chicago marathon runner, the location outweighs all the cons. The hotel is just opposite to the starting and end points of marathon route 2. Offer late check out for marathon runner to 2pm 3. Close to some famous tourist spots such as cloud gate (the bean), route66 starting point, ..etc 4. Complimentary bottle water, the only hotel we were staying in USA Offered this service 5. 10 mins walk to nearby subway station Cons 1. Aged, some in-room facilities even were loosen and not fixed tightly,for example water tap 2. Nearby not much eateries to choose 3. I have fully paid the room rate online before arrival, but the hotel still charged me the same amount while we were checking in, I made an enquiry to the hotel and they replied it was due to their computer error, crazy and nothing to say!

Location is nice and there’s NASCAR so it’s a bit noisy. Great view from my room as I hear the cars and saw them passby from my room.

Hotel is in good location. Room is clean. But the heating is not good so it is cold at night.

Housekeeping staff are cery accomodating giving us our request for fresh towels and other room amenities.

Checking in at the Congress Plaza was so straight forward. I was upgraded without asking to a King size bed with a lake view. The room was perfect. Fridge, safe, TV , Coffee and water.

Really good hotel. It felt rustic, was huge and really clean.

Enjoyed my stay it was peaceful. Staff were very friendly and housekeeping was fantastic with cleaning the rooms daily. Will definitely stay here again. They also had a safe in the room.

Our room didn’t have lights? Only lamps, which made it quite hard to see. Otherwise, everything was as expected.

Older hotel, but clean. Double beds in separate rooms. Valet parking not available. Felt scammed. Had to take car behind hotel to parking lot and then attendant moved car to garage. Still paid as though valet $60/day.

The hotel is in a great location! Close to main attractions and lots of restaurants! Main staff was not very friendly. Hotel is beautiful when you enter. Rooms are very old and need updating. The toilet in my bathroom had a corroded tank and a broken lever. That was a bit frustrating. Bed was very hard!! Room was very cold! Only one thermostat for the entire hotel. There is no individual thermostat in each room. Had to ask for extra blankets. They did provide that for me. The fitness room is very nice! Every thing you need to have a really good workout! They indicated they are in the process of renovating rooms. They’ve just not completed that project yet. I would stay there again if the price was right. Hopefully next time I’ll get an updated room!
