Remodeled in 2015! Spend the night in this cute duplex cabin, close to Cody yet located out in the country with magnificent mountain views. The cabin is western with brand new log furniture's and brand new pillow top queen bed and YOUR OWN bathroom. We're are roughly 50 miles from Yellowstone. You will have full access to the deck but have to share with guest on the other side of the cabin. There is great hiking possibilities on our property, you are more than welcome to take advantage of that. We have horses grazing on the property from time to time, they would love it if you would like to say hello to them. We have a charcoal grill that you are welcome to use (you supply the charcoals). We have a bon fire spot by the water canal, please enjoy it. There is a mini fridge and a coffee maker in your cabin as well. We’re sad to inform you that our nice big Akita dog, Rooster, passed away on November 1st 2023. It has been a very hard time for our family as he was the best family member we could have ever wished for. We know that he will be greatly missed by our guests as well. It will take some getting used to by us all, to not have him keeping an eye out for us all.On that note, we’re excited to announce that we welcomed a new little Akita pup to our family. He was born October 5th 2023. His name is Napoleon “Dynamite” Bonaparte. He is the runt of the litter and just the sweetest little guy. We know we can’t replace Rooster, but if Napoleon is just a little bit of what he was, he will too be a great part of our family. We also have Ellie-girl. She’s such a little firecracker and filled with personality. She is funny and loving and a great addition to our family. Furthermore, we rescued and golden retriever mix, Rita the fall of 2022 and she’s a sweetheart. She and Ellie really likes to get themselves into some trouble. All friendly, loving dogs. So, if you’re a dog person, this is most definitely the place to be.About pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 3:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About events:Events allowed.

The Wapiti Bear Den is the perfect place to get away from it all. Situated on 4 private acres, we're surrounded by the soaring Absaroka mountains and the quiet of nature. Located 20 miles east of Cody, Wyoming, McCullough Peaks boasts bands of flashy pintos, colorful sorrels and speckled sabinos, along with pronghorn, sage grouse, prairie dogs, and other native wildlife. The Bear Den is also a short drive from the Beartooth Highway – a National Scenic Byways All-American Road. This 68 mile byway winds its way through southwest Montana and northwest Wyoming and leads into Yellowstone National Park at its Northeast Entrance. It's a must see!If fly fishing is your passion, the Bear Den is located less than a five minute drive to fishing access on the renowned Shoshone River. The North Fork of the Shoshone hosts rainbow trout, mountain whitefish, brook trout, Yellowstone cutthroat, brown trout, rainbow-cutthroat hybrids and some lake trout on the lower stretches of the river.Whether you spend your time exploring Yellowstone or visiting the Cody/Wapiti area, the outdoor recreation possibilities of northwest Wyoming are endless.
