good hostel. close to bus stop and Roma train station. Supermarket also 3 minutes away. on the roof there is a swimming pool and lounge area. neighbors can be noisy, also nearby is the railway, from which there is noise at night.

Insects biting at night. During sleep in private Room No. 2. Even after paying premium price , got bitten by insects in bed. Informed reception to change sheets and clean room. No response till late night. Finally only sheets replaced. Room was NOT cleaned. Reported next day morning to reception. Then room was cleaned. I HAD TO USE SPRAY PURCHASED BY MYSELF. Very SAD. House keeping does NOT respond.at all.State of bed can be seen in photograph attached

Quite nice during my stays here .. definitely will come back again if I visit here again. Feelings comfortable and quite near to city , public transport nearby. Strategic location 👍🏼

This is a very good hostel. The place was clean and facilities very good

Zero stars. The male receptionist with a South American accent is exceptionally rude and tried to prevent me from retrieving my luggage from the luggage room and accused me of not being a paid guest despite the fact that I was and have stayed there many times before. I would avoid this place unless you want to be treated without any respect.

YHA never depressed you! But I have to say the bed here in YHA Brisbane is really amazing that I sleep quite well these two days! And ofc the staff, always kind and supportive! Would love to be here again! By the way the bar here is nice toooooo

Amazing location

Exceptional front desk customer service. Very clean and modern. Can be noisy from trains and inconsiderate guests. Only feedback would be that beds should be made for guests for the current prices, incredibly hard to make the top bunk beds with the current bed fitouts..it’s a shame that the hostel accommodation price is nearly double to what it should be.

The hostel seemed brand new. The private room was perfect, almost like an hotel. We really enjoyed our stay there. Thank you YHA

No understanding of mobility issues/ disability. Staff too young with not Enuff life experience. Esp female staff (Nikki).

Unfortunately had a very horrible experience at YHA Brisbane when a male member of staff entered my room without any reason of authorisation while I wasn’t clothed and in bed. Apparently this was a mistake as a guest had told him it was their room but the staff member made no effort to double check these details or knock so I have been left feeling completely shaken as a female solo traveller. Some attempt was made by Jordan at the hostel to try resolve this but unfortunately the damage has been done and it has completely tainted my time in Brisbane. I would not return to YHA Brisbane and would advise any female solo travellers to be careful

Located near Roma St station, it is a bit of a walk up the hill. Currently undergoing renovations so some rooms are older and some are refurbished. The old bathrooms are small and you may have to wait.

The room stank and the mattress was very springy. Reception was unattended when I checked out so I had nowhere to leave my luggage.

I initially booked a bed in the 4-bed dorm but figured it was not for me. The rooms are smaller than those in YHA Sydney Central. The receptionist catered to my concerns and I then booked a double bed with shared bathroom, which was good overall. I never used the kitchen but it’s spacious and has a lot of utensils and cooking amenities. It’s close to the Southern Cross Station, where the airport link bus stops.
