I must say this is one of the best hotels in Beijing, so elegantly decorated and well maintained. Room is spacious and comfortable, and thanks for the impeccable service from all the well trained staffs. What amazed me was how they paid attention to all the small details and personal touches, also a lot of privacy for hotel guests. Breakfast was quality and taste really good. Dim sum lunch at Huang Ting is worth stopping by.

Second time at this place. Really comfortable all round experience with exception of scrambled eggs at breakfast, all other breakfast items were really very good. Wide range of a la carte breakfast choices also. Lovely pool. Lovely staff. Tasty restaurants in the hotel and many close by eg little dadong is just along the street in a mall. Great location close to high and mid range shopping, forbidden city is easy walking distance. Would be nice to have some sofas in the lobby like the waldorf, but apart from that all good.

I have absolutely no regret staying at the Peninsula Beijing. Every US dollar spent here was so worth it, from bell services, check in, to the solid dining menus, to personal care, to the shopping options, to its prime location. We were minutes away from the abundance of malls, snacks, restaurants and the large pedestrian outdoor walking mall. The amenities here are amazing plenty and well staffed. Do bring your swim gear to take advantage of the pool. The staff at the pool and the spa were so friendly and extremely professional. Additionally, the check in staff were professional and patient as I was brushing up on my Mandarin skills. It felt extremely calm and welcoming. The restaurant staff were kind and definitely our superstars. Their breakfast menu covered authentic Chinese breakfast to western options.

Luxurious and exceptional service from every staff. Suites are spacious and high tech. Loved every second of our stay and every small details. Enjoyed the spa too, the only small fault I can find is there is no jacuzzi or some water jet facility at the pool. Do not miss going up to the roof top bar to try their summer drinks. Breakfast was excellent too. Highly recommend and my only address in future to Beijing.

Austin was extremely helpful with our early check-in. When our room was not ready he managed it perfectly with an upgrade which was lovely. Hotel breakfast spread was wide and of good quality. Our second stay here and it won’t be our last.

The room is not as pretty as the ones in Peninsula Hong Kong and Shanghai. But the main issue is the service. We arrived at mid night. No one at the entrance to greet or help with our luggage. The staff at concierge was with an unfriendly face.
After check-in, we asked the staff at reception if any of the hotel restaurants were still open. He said only the bar at 14/F did. But funny enough, we went up all the way to 14/F but the bar was closed. How could the hotel staff not know the opening hours of the restaurants?
We then asked the staff at the entrance (finally someone there) if there were any places for a quick bite nearby. He said not at all as it’s very late now. But then we still went out to try. Within 10-minute walk, there were a couple of dumpling places. How could the staff’s answer be so definite when he’s indeed wrong?
In general, the staff was not trained to greet hotel guests. At the corridor of my floor, I took the initiative to say hi to a staff member but surprisingly no response from him. And when I went out through the door at entrance where I was after my husband, a staff member suddenly interrupted my way by walking after my husband but before me. No basic courtesy,
One thing that impressed us was the standing shower area. No water leakage at all which is uncommon for hotels. Good design!

The penninsula is Beijing's flagship hotel. It is comfortable with large rooms after a recent renovation. Staff are attentive and superb. The location is unbeatable. Amenities are fantastic. We had a great stay here.

Stayed here previously in 2021 and the hotel was immaculate and the service was amazing. This trip I was excited to stay again but I was disappointed with the smell of smoke on our floor and in our room. Following my complaint to reception we were moved to a different floor and our room upgraded. The cleanliness was lacking and the room was a little grubby in places. The food was ok but I feel the attention to detail wasn’t the same as our previous visit. Previously we stayed in December and we were left snacks each day with notes from reception with tips for our stay and we were given a small Xmas gift on departure as a keep sake, it was a nice touch. I don’t feel the hotel price tag matches the experience. Disappointed 😔

1. The concierge is completely helpless. They look for excuses for not helping in sending things to our room
2. The breakfast session, some of the staffs are not friendly at all. They did not even ask if the seat is taken or not before take the seat away.
3. The laundry service did not even fold my t-shirt after the laundry
4. The room cleaning is great and fast
