Foreshore Motor Inn

This accommodation is a huge con. We booked online without making any checks - encouraged to do so by the site declaring there were 3 others looking to book at the same time with only 5 rooms available. We were there on a sunday night and only one other room was occupied. Reception was closed. No one onsite in the morning. The pool was empty on a warm to hot day. Refrigerator in the room was turned off. The key photo is totally deceptive. Please ensure potential future guests are warned.

Don’t believe the first photo you see on Tripadvisor. It looks nothing like that. It’s basically a rundown motor inn- the kind you see in scary American movies. At night it’s SUPER DARK AND QUIET. As I was travelling alone I was pretty scared and made sure my door was locked the whole time. The restaurant is permanently closed. Nothing to eat or drink. I had to Door Dash (delivery app) my dinner. Breakfast was just a box of milk and cereal packet. When I checked in at 5pm, reception was already closed. All deserted. There was number to call and Katherine was quite helpful. The key retrieved was for a room that was still occupied! I opened the door and there were clothes and luggage around. Good thing nobody was around. So Katherine had to come by and give me a new key. The room is very very old. Bathroom also very old- the tap is not a mixer. So you either have very hot water on one side or very cold water on the other. Thank God the shower had hot water! Bed sheets are questionable. All in all I would recommend this inn at all.
