Coccodrillo Hotel & Apartments

What a find! Fantastic little hotel. Absolutely spotless, the staff never stopped cleaning, the lifeguard was scrubbing away every little stain on the ground when the pool closed, never seen the like! We had two adjacent rooms for the 3 of us with huge terraces with sunloungers facing the pool. Never heard the trains, even though we could see the station from our balcony. A perfect 30 minute train trip from Genoa airport, €4 each way! Rooms were excellent with the most comfortable beds, a mini bar and excellent aircon and wifi. Great housekeeping, such hard workers! I'd recommend booking the room with a terrace, so big, with comfy sunloungers and a view of the sea. (Ours was room 211). The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us. We hadn't realised it was a holiday weekend in Italy and hadn't booked restaurants. We were lucky to get a table Friday night in a lovely spot, but when we tried several places to book for the Saturday, everything was full. The wonderful Silvia at the hotel got us not only a table in a fabulous restaurant on a holiday weekend, but the best table, on the terrace, beautiful views, dining to the sound of the waves! It was so good we returned for lunch the next day. The hotel is 5 minutes from the beach and they have a deal with a beach club, but we hadn't booked and it was full, as were all of them. It didn't matter, we loved the pool with comfy sunloungers and parasols. Varazze is the perfect destination, all Italians who were so friendly and welcoming, amazing restaurants with stunning seafood, home made pasta and fantastic prices. There are lovely shops cafés and bars, all within a couple of minutes from the hotel. Thanks Hotel Coccodrillo staff for a wonderful holiday with my mother and sister. Highly recommended!!

Buona struttura con camere ristrutturate e personale gentile. Peccato per colui che si occupa della piscina, Poco cordiale, E gli orari di chiusura di essa dalle 12.30 alle 15.30. Inoltre durante una mattinata si è anche messo a pulire la piscina con i bagnanti all’interno. Colazione abbondante e buona. Vicino ai servizi principali e alla spiaggia. Peccato anche per la mancanza di una merenda da fare il pomeriggio come ad esempio panini o toast. Inoltre NON è presente in tutte le camere un frigobar.

Ho prenotato un appartamento con tutti i servizi dell’hotel (ancora devo capire quali fossero): -pagato il servizio colazione a parte: buffet nella media, ma con prodotti confezionati e il peggio è stato ritrovarmi una giuncata alle erbe nel buffet per tutta l’intera settimana del mio soggiorno, e uova sode che dentro erano verdi. - non è possibile effettuare pranzo e cena in struttura. -Materassi durissimi e scomodi, ho chiesto per un topper anche pagando e non ne avevano. -pagato il parcheggio: a 100m dall’hotel e molto risicato per chi ha una grande macchina. -avevo un cane e una bambina piccola, l’uscita dell’hotel purtroppo si trova in una curva nella strada e quindi pericolosa: una volta non ho fatto un tempo ad attraversare che il cane ha fatto pipì, non nell’hotel, ma nella strada davanti ad esso ed il bagnino ci ha pure sgridati che avrebbe attirato gli altri cani, ci siamo scusati ed è stato insistente, mi chiedo a cosa serva allora pagare una sovrattassa per un cane se ciò non viene messo in conto. - un pomeriggio l’acqua calda non funzionava e abbiamo fatto la doccia alla bambina scaldando l’acqua sul fuoco, chiamato alla reception la signora ci ha risposto che era da sola e non poteva aiutarci - la piscina è aperta solo 2h la mattina e 2h il pomeriggio (assurdo in una zona di mare) Ho pagato l’intero soggiorno al check in, anche se avrei potuto farlo dopo, ho espresso più volte il mio disappunto anche al check out e la risposta è stata: lei è una mosca bianca! Beh signora una mosca bianca che non si poserà mai più su questa m***a! Mi dispiace che questa sia l’accoglienza a Varazze. Prezzo esagerato: per intenderci ho pagato lo stesso prezzo in una suite di un’ hotel 5 stelle a Rimini. Il resto del personale soprattutto il receptionist Giulio e le donne delle colazioni sono sempre stati gentilissimi.
