We originally booked with Senza Gardens Holiday Club Hotel, the day before we were meant to fly we got contacted from Love Holidays saying the hotel wasn't available and they were moving us to here. CHECK IN We checked in quite late. We were given our room key (only 1 is provided) and we had to ask where to go as they didn't tell us. We weren't given any information on food times ect. (we found a piece of paper with this information on by chance in the lobby so we took a picture of this on our phones) ROOM / HYGIENE When we checked into our room it was obvious that it hadn't been cleaned properly. There was limescale and mould all over the shower, the little mirror I turned around and there was dried toothpaste...The kettle provided was dusty and had limescale on so was unusable. The aircon was showing a error message so we couldn't use it. Me and my partner showered in sandals as we didn't want to put our feet on the bare floor. The cleaners don't clean your rooms; they simply tidy your bed, empty the bin, remove dirty towels and leave clean ones (if your lucky). On most occasions we had to grab our own clean towels from the cleaners cart in the morning. The hallways carpets were dirty, the elevators were covered in old drinks and smelled awful. There is a general lack of cleanliness at this hotel. FOOD Not great, everything was in hot plates but as soon as it hit your plate it was stone cold. Very repetitive, you could tell by taste that the breads, meats ect were being reput out as they tasted stale. The butter packets were out of date. All the desserts looked really nice but tasted of nothing. They have a separate bistro which serve burgers, pizzas, chips ect. It was maybe a 4/10 but in comparison to the main area it was tolerable. Personally I have a gluten and lactose intolerance, and the little food i could stomach flared up my intolerances. Also worth mentioning that in regards to food nothing is labelled at breakfast/lunch & only a small section is labelled at dinner time. So I didn't know what the food contained. Just something to consider if you have food allergies. Me and my partner ate out most days at a restaurant nearby called Ruzgar (the restaurant is great, totally recommend!) Everyone in the restaurant was from our hotel (all had green bands on) and everyone at the restaurant were saying the same thing, they had eaten out as they couldn't stomach the food. ALCOHOL / DRINKS The alcohol served isn't great. The beer is tolerable, cocktails aren't great. Any spirits are local. Tea, coffee ect the only way I can describe it is vending machine. Soft drinks are ok. There are no drinks menus around as far as we could tell. Only saw a cocktail menu at one of the bars. SERVICE The service by staff is well below par. Staff are uninterested and unbothered. Can come across as rude/blunt at times. Went to reception to ask for the room to be cleaned and the receptionist made me feel like i was inconveniencing her.
