Nice, lively hotel just across the Seepark Congress Center in Thun. I had a cozy room with everything I needed to work and sleep. I probably didn't get one of the 'lab' rooms, I'll ask for one next time ;-). Excellent breakfast buffet and super friendly staff!

Good : Clean rooms Nice Bathroom Bad: Expensive Room Super expensive breakfast (did not have it) Rediculous expensive parking I stay in the Thun area on average twice a month, For the price here you can also stay at a nice 4 star hotel on the lake, with wellness en parking.

Hotel is well situated, just a few minutes from the city center of Thun and from the lake. Rooms are small but clean and modern. They might be a bit noisy in the morning as you can hear what’s going on in the other rooms. Be aware of a potential lack of privacy regarding the bathroom. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast is good with a lot of choice. Comparing to other 3 stars hotels in the area (like Hotel Holiday), it is overpriced as you have to add the breakfast (24 CHF p.p/p.day), the parking (15CHF p, day) and the city taxes (but that’s normal); you end up with paying 300.- per night which is clearly too much.

My husband and I stayed in one of the “Living Room” configurations. It was clean, but very barebones. I think it would be fine for just a place to rest on your way somewhere, or for an extended stay where you will have all your own things and can use the kitchenette. It’s not necessarily ideal if you’re looking for a typical hotel experience. For example, the restaurant is actually a cafeteria and is not always serving food. Also, in the shower there is a hair/body wash (all in one) dispenser. So nothing like hair conditioner or body lotion is provided. We were only staying for a couple days, and I will say it was nice to have access to a washer and dryer. My only true complaint is that our room had a full wide floor to ceiling window from the bathroom to the main area. So there was no toilet privacy at all. I love my husband, but poopoo time is private time. It was very awkward and uncomfortable. It was also very hot in Thun while we were there and the hotel does not have air conditioning. So the room was extremely stuffy, even when we left the window open at night. But I don’t think many hotels in Switzerland outside of main cities have AC, because none of our friends in other hotels in Thun had AC, and the same was true in Grindewald. All in all, the place was clean, the staff was very friendly. So it’s really all about what you’re looking for out of your stay. If you don’t require those little extras most hotels provide, and aren’t worried about hubby peeping while you poop, then this is a good place to go!

I stayed two nights in an Ego room (a capsule). The room was well designed, spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed. However it didn't have any ventilation except a vent above the door and was quite stuffy, even in early May. I mentioned this at check out and they said they were doing something about this. Honestly I wouldn't stay in a capsule room here in summer unless there was more air! Bathroom was excellent!! One bathroom shared for three people. Great shower! Lovely shower gel and shampoo. Location very close to stunning lake. Free buses including into town - but you need to ask at reception for bus pass. Great space and WiFi if you want to do some remote work. Lack of cafes/restaurants close by (except for what is available at the hotel) . Breakfast seemed very expensive do I are elsewhere. I feel this hotel kind of lacks identity. It felt more like a college with all of the students about than a hotel. I also found reception staff, while kind, could have been more helpful. E. G. I had to really ask about bus pass - they should mention it. Then had to probe further about where to get bus from. They also didn't mention the free Hub drink I should have got from booking directly on the website. So I would recommend focusing more on hospitality as if I had paid for a proper room, not a great value capsule, I think I would have been a bit disappointed. I would give 3.5 stars if I could.

Ideale Lage, ruhig gelegen und (fast) direkt am See. Die Zimmer sind einfach eingerichtet, aber es hat alles was man braucht. Die Betten sind sehr bequem. Badezimmer grosszügig. Sehr sauber alles. Preis-Leistung top. Ausserordentlich freundlich und zuvorkommendes Personal. Reichhaltiges Frühstückbuffet. Der Essensraum hat schon eher etwas kantinenmässiges und ist recht hellhörig. Aber dennoch hat mich sich vor allem durch das zuvorkommende Personal sehr wohl gefühlt. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Ideale Lage, sehr netter Empfang, ausgiebiges und leckeres Frühstück. Die Nacht in einer der Kapseln war spannend zu erleben. Ich würde empfehlen, eine obere Kapsel zu reservieren, da die untere eher lärmempfindlich ist. Trotzdem alles in allem ein schönes Erlebnis!

kleines Zimmer zu hohem Preis - 230 CHF!!. es war nicht einmal ein kleiner Tisch vorhanden, auch kein Stuhl (nur ein unnötiger Liegestuhl). Man konnte sich kaum im Zimmer drehen. Bad war sehr gut und sauber.

Wir suchten ein Hotel in der Nähe der Seebühne Thun und fanden The Lab Hotel. Der Auftenthalt war in allen Belangen hervorragend. Insbesondere die Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit des gesamten Personals war herausragend. Die Lage des Hotels erlaubt einem zu Fuss nach Thun zu spazieren und dort die sehr sehenswerte Stadt zu geniessen. Wir können das Hotel vollumfänglich weiter empfehlen und kommen ganz bestimmt wieder ins Lab Hotel und auch nach Thun.
