一棟小別墅，房間整潔乾淨，很温馨安靜，服務很好很熱情，我們住3樓，沒有電梯，行李箱都是店家幫拿上房間的，停車也算方便。周住環境不錯，出行也方便，沿河邊步行20分鐘邊觀景過走很快就到達鬧市區的旅遊景點，唯有早餐很貴。一天兩晚還算是愜意的體驗吧。

Hotel is situated right opposite Clifton tower and is conveniently located within. The city centre - walking distance to the Shambles and other attractions. The parking situation is problematic - although aware it is first come first served, there is nowhere available to park up and ask except the three spaces in front of the hotel and if taken, you end up circling the road for an absolutely age before a space becomes available. If no parking on site end up parking over the road on public car park which is inconvenient as keep having to work out when to renew. The cleanliness is a slight issue, we thought there was dust on surfaces but more likely to be cloth fibres from the cleaners but still don't expect shedding like this. Room was fine but did think bathroom was on the smaller side for a double deluxe room. Service in general was good - couldn't really fault.

Room was good, loved that the leisure centre was open till late so could get time at the pool and jacuzzi even after sight seeing. Breakfast was great, nice continental selection, and a picturesque view from the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and attentive. A potential improvement could be the hot water control in the shower - ours was a Deluxe room with bath. The temperature was either scalding hot or ice cold - there was no in-between.

Vi bookede et standarddobbelt, da vi kun ønskede at have middag et sted og lægge hovederne på for at bryde to lange rejser. Vi var forberedt på et ”trætt” serum, og det var faktisk bare det.Både værelset og badeværelset var spotless, sengen var absolut stor med smukke hør og bruseren om morgenen var spot på for temperatur. Tjenesten fra start til slut var fantastisk, og selv om jeg ikke havde den selv, sagde min mand, morgenmad var fremragende.Vi rejser både lokalt og internationalt, og jeg kommenterer sjældent så mange hoteller, som bare går gennem motionerne, Jeg ville give dette hotel og holdet et godt fortjent skrig.Vi vil helt sikkert være tilbage og anbefale, at alle leder efter et godt sted at bo i Yorks udkanter.

I stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton York for a short visit and, while the location was reasonably convenient, the overall experience fell short of expectations for a Hilton-branded hotel. I was upgraded to a room located across the car park from the main building, accessed via stairs and without central heating. Instead, the room relied on standing portable heaters, which wasn’t ideal — especially given the wet weather and the need to walk outside to reach the room. The room itself felt quite tired and dated, with noticeably creaky floorboards both inside the room and from neighbouring rooms, which made it hard to fully relax. The location is decent enough, but if you’re travelling by public transport there are better areas of York to stay in that offer easier access and a nicer overall setting. I didn’t try the breakfast, as there are plenty of good local options nearby, which I enjoyed instead, so I don’t feel I missed out. One small disappointment was that coffee wasn’t available outside of breakfast hours. Overall, with so many good accommodation options in York, I’m not likely to stay here again.
