Amoy Hotel is a gem in the heart of Singapore! The location is fantastic, with easy access to major attractions and public transport. The unique heritage charm, combined with modern comforts, made our stay truly memorable. The staff were attentive and welcoming, adding a personal touch to the experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy and well-situated hotel!

I booked two rooms at the hotel and arrived at 8 a.m. to check in. The female staff at the front desk informed me that, because it was before the official 3 p.m. check-in time, the rooms were ready but I would need to pay an additional fee for early check-in. Understanding the policy, I opted to store my luggage instead and returned at 3 p.m. to retrieve my room cards. However, when I entered the rooms, I was shocked to find that they were windowless—dark, damp, and completely different from what was advertised during the booking process, which promised rooms with windows. At 3:20 p.m., I went back to the front desk to request a room change. The receptionist first asked whether the room had already been used and then, after checking for about a minute, claimed that all double rooms with windows were fully booked. She added that only the single room could be switched to one with a window. Unsatisfied, I contacted the booking agent. Surprisingly, not long after, the same staff member came to inform me that someone had “coincidentally” canceled a room with a window and we could now change rooms. What a convenient turn of events! This experience highlights the poor service and lack of respect for customers at this hotel. It seems that unless you push the issue, the staff will assign you the worst rooms available, smiling while giving substandard service. This behavior is unacceptable and deeply disappointing. In terms of the environment, this hotel can hardly be considered a proper standalone establishment. It feels more like an extended passageway. Behind the hotel is a busy food street, with countless people passing through every day, creating a noisy and chaotic atmosphere. The elevators and hallways are narrow and outdated, adding to the overall discomfort. The only redeeming feature is its proximity to the metro station. However, apart from this, there’s nothing else worth recommending. The environment and service quality fall far short of expectations, making it a truly disappointing experience.

Third time at AMOY Hotel and they impressed again with great service from Miza and Jay. Room is cosy, clean and comfortable, and I love the welcome tea, complimentary minibar and breakfast options.

This is my second time here and I love the cosy boutique rooms, as well as the fact that they have plenty of solo rooms for single travelers. The service was amazing as well, as every staff was friendly, polite and thoughtful.

Premier location; vintage building; unique characters of the place; I was afraid of the noise before the booking coz it’s right besides the busy area but it didn’t bother me; not spacious but it was written on the room conditions.

Perfect location, very clean, and accommodating staff. As a traveler spending a night in Singapore for business, I couldn't find a better hotel. The pictures just don't do it justice.

Very nice hotel and very enjoyable stay. Restaurants and metro literally on the doorstep of this hotel make it a fantastic choice for those who travel for business and it is very convenient. Very nice customer service from the front office staff as well.

Lovely room in a unique building. Nice services. Everything is lovely except noise control that you might hear other guests walking on the corridor.
