Agriturismo Le Macine

We have been a group of 15 people, the food was very good, the service excellent, the atmosphere very pleasant. When it was time to pay, we went to the till and the Owner attended us. Very unpleasant person, contemptuous and kick. He doesn't know who he's dealing with, you can't treat people with such contempt. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT, I WILL NOT COME BACK, YOU CANNOT TREAT CUSTOMERS SO BADLY. Siamo stati un gruppo di 15 persone, il cibo era molto buono, il servizio eccellente, l'atmosfera molto piacevole. Quando è arrivato il momento di pagare, siamo andati alla cassa e il proprietario ci ha assistito. Persona molto sgradevole, sprezzante e calci. Non sa con chi ha a che fare, non puoi trattare le persone con tanto disprezzo. NON LO CONSIGLIO, NON TORNERÒ, NON PUOI TRATTARE COSÌ MALE I CLIENTI.

Unfortunately I too attended this restaurant and had a very unpleasant experience in the culinry aspect. I am vegan and called the restaurant a few days in advance to see if they were able to meet my needs. I spoke with Mrs. De Dominicis, who in a tone filled with ennui at the boondogle of my phone call dismissed my enquiry telling me that not only had their kitchen sought expertise advice on how to prepare a vegan meal, but that I should have thanked her for going the extra mile to satisfy my needs. Ok...the food that I was served was nothing like dishes I've had in less elegant and less expensive restaurante in Italy - the bread on the table was stale (a bad sign) and there was little of it. My dish contained cheese that was, as Mrs. De Dominicis insisted, lactose free, but how, I asked, was that considered vegan? The response I got was the following, "if you eat dairy products just once, what harm would it do you? No one is a vegan for health reasons! I don't care about what the philosophy is! If you aren't happy with what I served you then don't come back!" Not that I had been the least interested in delving into a conversation with her about philophy and choices...Mrs. De Dominicis was simply put-out and without encountaring any resistance from me, became adamant that I should pay her and thank her for all of the work that she and her staff had put into serving me (a spoonfull of vegetables, zuchinni with parmesan, mozarella lactose free and an egg-based pasta that according to her was not egg-based...come on...that flavour is a classic!) Naturally I paid without a problem - however, it would befit Mrs. De Dominicis to be more attentive with her clients as what she imparts as the truth. She was rude (although I have to admit that her waiters were really very nice) , exasperated and was convinced that lactose free cheese was vegan OK. Even after I explained that it wasn't the lactose, but the animal by-product. A shame that a restaurant owner in the year 2022 doesn't even know the difference and argues with her clients about what vegan is and isn't. So - the place is very nice and the waiters are kind - but just be careful if you have allergies or food needs - from my experience, they won't take you seriously and THAT is bad service.

Siamo stati in questo agriturismo per due anni consecutivi per mangiare le splendide Virtù, piatto tipico della cucina teramana. I piatti erano gustosi e abbondanti, serviti senza attese. Anche gli antipasti vari e sfiziosi valgono la pena di andare a mangiare alle Macine. Oltre alla cucina anche il personale è il punto forte di questo agriturismo, sono stati tutti gentili e disponibili.. e siamo tornati a casa super sazi!! Consigliato anche per chi viene da fuori poichè l’agriturismo dispone di camere e appartamenti con una vista mozzafiato sul mare, raggiungibile in meno di dieci minuti.

Ho trascorso il pranzo di natale in quest'agriturismo insieme alla mia famiglia. Ero stata invogliata dalle recensioni positive e dal posto che, almeno in foto, sembrava incantevole. In realtà il posto è molto carino anche se in pieno inverno e col freddo non si gusta appieno. Ciò che veramente ha deluso tutti della mia famiglia (e non solo) è stata la temperatura nella sala da pranzo...freddo incredibile,nonostante il camino acceso (con una flebile fiamma) e i caloriferi che stentavano a riscaldarsi (alle 13.00 quando siamo arrivati erano appena tiepidi). Questo perchè le portate che servivano i camerieri venivano da fuori e la porta restava spesso e volentieri aperta con piatti tiepidi per non dire freddi (il brodo soprattutto che si mangia bello caldo era tiepido).Molti dei clienti sono rimasti con il cappotto e, tra una portata e l'altra si alzavano per posizionarsi affianco ai caloriferi. Peccato perchè l'antipasto è stato buonissimo, anche i primi ed il secondo non erano male ma tutto è passato in secondo piano perchè non si può mangiare in un ristorante soffrendo il freddo e con il cappotto addosso, ancor di più il giorno di natale, pagando pure una bella cifra (Euro 55 per adulti ed euro 30 per i bambini). Un consiglio : o accendete i caloriferi dalla sera prima in modo che all'apertura mattutina l'ambiente è già bello caldo, oppure per l'inverno meglio restare chiusi.

Ho trascorso il Natale 2024 presso questo agriturismo, che dire: location carina, cibo non male, anche se il secondo piatto è stato servito freddo, ma l'aspetto peggiore è stata la temperatura nella stanza che sfiorava a malapena i 15 gradi e ci ha costretti a pranzare con i cappotti indossati. Nella sala arrivavano spifferi da tutte le parti, la porta veniva lasciata sempre spalancata dai camerieri e quando lo abbiamo fatto notare alla proprietaria si è giustificata dicendo "qui si sta bene d'estate".
