I recently had the opportunity to stay at IntercityHotel Shanghai, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel itself was nice, with modern amenities and friendly staff. However, there was one significant drawback that affected my stay.
The walls in the hotel seemed to be paper-thin, which meant that I could hear every sound coming from the neighboring rooms. Whether it was the flushing of a toilet or someone taking a shower, the lack of soundproofing was quite noticeable. This resulted in a lack of privacy and disrupted my sleep at times.
Despite this issue, I must commend the hotel on its cleanliness and comfortable rooms. The location was also convenient, with easy access to public transportation and nearby attractions.
In conclusion, while IntercityHotel Shanghai offers a pleasant stay with its nice facilities and friendly staff, the thin walls can be a significant inconvenience for those seeking a peaceful and quiet environment. If noise sensitivity is a concern for you, it may be worth considering other accommodation options

Nice new hotel quite near Longyang metro station and Maglev. Rooms are clean with big wndow. We've been staying there for one night and didn't have breakfest but people say there is a good meal. The hotel provides a shuttle bus to the New Expo Center, Disneyland and metro station. Metro is near but you had to go about 7 minutes to the nearest crossing (with stairs and elevator, not on the road) , go upstairs and than a couple of minutes return back by other side of the street. It's quite difficult if you have heavy suitcases.
Unfortunately the staff doesn't speak English and can only use the special device for translation. It takes additional time.
All other is perfect.

Nice hotel. Very clean and quite new. The only point we didn’t like is the slow elevator. But overall everything was great.

Check-in and check-out very friendly and well-trained stuff. Only one barrier limited English speaking stuff and using mobile translator, which is ok. My recommendation at least one of the staff should speak English in proper way with the foreign guests.
Room sufficient space and clean. Breakfast was very good in combination local and western style.
My flight got delayed and stuff was friendly to arrange late check-out. Here a big thanks to Cecilia. Very well done.

The hotel is new designed, the bed is comfortable, the room is quiet. Good customer services, and the welcome drinks and snack are good, will come again. Happy to have coffee machine at room, and the robot deliver my take away food to my room
