Shanghai StarChain New Space Time Hotel (Zhongshan Park Subway Station)

Fantastic Location with Stunning City Views This hotel is in a prime location—just steps from Zhongshan Station (Line 2, Exit 10). Simply cross the street, and you're there! It's surrounded by major shopping malls and famous restaurants, without the long queues typical in more touristy areas. We stayed on the 30th floor, and the room was spacious—much larger than what you'd get for the same price in the city center. The view was breathtaking, offering a panoramic look at Shanghai’s skyline. Since it's next to Lines 2, 3, and 4, there may be some noise from the trains, but it wasn’t disruptive for us. Housekeeping is available upon request, with complimentary bottled water (2 per day). Just note that there’s no fridge in the room. Overall, a great choice for convenience, comfort, and amazing city views!

The stay at New Space Time hotel at Zhongshan Park was fantastic. The location is perfect. It's super convenient to take subway line 2, 3 and 4. And it is surrounded by a couple of shopping malls. There is a famous XIAO YANG SHENG JIAN restaurant nearby within a few minutes walk, which is a great surprise! The ladies at the front desk are very nice and helpful. Although there are lines of Subways, the room is still so quiet.

Amazing location 2 minutes walk across the street to subway/metro station line 2, which you can transfer to other lines to go anywhere in Shanghai. Also from this metro station you can walk underground to the mall across the street where there is big food court, you will find variety of restaurants from hotpot, ramen, bbq sticks, buns, boba, fry chicken, McDonald Donald, star bucks. The room is very clean with daily cleaning. To reach the lobby you have to walk up stairs to the front desk which is on the left side of building. I got a room on higher floor, no train noise problem othered mentioned.

Room type booked wasn't available. Was excited to get a good room for my children, the one with a higher deck within the same unit. It could have been fun if they stayed in this room type. Ended up it wasn't available when we checked in. Reason given was that we checked in late. We reached Hotel at about 8pm. Staff did offer change our children's room the next day. But given the trouble involved, we kept the room for 2 nights. Another problem was that we intentionally chose no-smoking room. But both rooms given to us at first had strong cigarette smell. We wasted at least 45 mins to get the rooms changed. The staff was good though as she was trying her very best to solve the problem.
