we booked a normal room and it’s upgraded to suit room free of charge, nice service, nice location, just breakfast is too expensive to choose. On 20th floor you may hear the nearby top roofs ventilation sound and noise. The carpets are old and looks not clean

I love staying at this hotel wherever I travel in China. The Crowne Plaza staff is always very helpful and accomodating. For my last trip my room was upgraded and I lived like a queen. Starry Cui at reception made my trip to Shanghai all the more pleasant.

I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and had an overall decent experience. The location was outstanding, just a short walk to the main shopping street and conveniently close to the metro station. While the room was on the smaller side compared to other hotels, it was reasonable for the price. The property shows its age, and cleanliness was average, but acceptable. What truly stood out was the service. The staff were warm and accommodating, offering a complimentary late check-out and a thoughtful birthday surprise for my friend, including a cake, fruit platter, and a handwritten note which was an unexpectedly delightful gesture. The only letdown was breakfast, which had limited options and felt underwhelming. That said, the attentive service and prime location made up for it.

Comfortable stay in twin room on the 18th floor. Friendly and efficient staff. Great location close to everything.

We have a really nice sleep on the very comfortable bed, this is my actualy good sleep ever during the stay, sad we don’t have it on our day of arrivals, we just book in for a night before the flight, but we are very satisfied,

We had an enjoyable stay at this Shanghai hotel. Centrally located on the bustling Nanjing East Road pedestrian walkway, it’s a breeze to find. Housed in an established building, the vibe feels solid. Staff were generally helpful, and ready to assist. Our room was clean, functional, though a tad warm—possibly due to some override rules. Everything worked as expected for a reliable city stay. Perfect for travelers wanting a convenient base in Shanghai’s heart. Downside was there were scavengers approaching upon our arrival by taxi at hotel lobby. Staff didn't stop them. Would recommend for a generally no-fuss, well-placed hotel experience.

Location is perfect. Right in the middle of Nanjing pedestrian street. So much food and shopping just by walking.
