We arrived late at night and were disappointed by the cold reception we received from the manager on duty. Unlike the warm and thoughtful service we've come to expect from Atour, he offered no smile, no kind words, and little explanation throughout the check-in process. He simply took our passports, processed the booking, and handed us our room cards. We had to ask about breakfast ourselves, and his responses were curt.
We also experienced an issue with an overcharge from a taxi driver and sought help, but were told bluntly that nothing could be done since it was a hail ride—again, without any empathy or attempt to assist further. Perhaps he was having a bad day, but as a manager representing the Atour brand, we expected a higher level of professionalism and care.
Thankfully, the staff in the morning were much friendlier and more in line with the excellent Atour service we’ve experienced at other locations. The hotel’s proximity to the Maglev station (less than a 10-minute walk) is a definite plus, and while the facilities were clean, they felt more basic compared to other Atour branches we've stayed at.
