Hotel - Odjo d´Agua

Must admit when we were driving up to the hotel, I was a bit sceptical as the entrance was stuck in a corner, but I was really pleasantly surprised. Lovely, quaint hotel & very clean. The room was a great size & our balcony looked over a grassed courtyard. However the front opened onto the street which could be quite noisy at times. There was also no hot water for the whole of our weeks stay. There were no instructions on how to use the safe & we did ask at reception, but no-one came. Pool & pool bar is really nice, although the salt water pool was freezing. Also the bar wasn't open in the evening. Paying €4 pp for a sunbed each day, even around the pool isn't on really. It should be free! The breakfast staff weren't friendly, but the guys round the pool were. Overall holiday was great though

Local restaurant at our hotel. Godt food and great service. Hope to enjoy some more. Choice first night was octopus, and it was perfect done. The environment is nice and you can enjoy either inside or outside dining. Look forward to enjoy a fish dish later

We have previously stayed at this hotel. We returned on a Sunday evening for dinner. The lower terrace overlooks the sea and it’s great to dine hearing the sea water lapping against the walls of the hotel. Food was really excellent and very good value. Totally recommend this hotel fora lovely dinner

Great location really close to town right on the beach We only did bed & breakfast loads of choice Sun beds did become a problem around the pool which we had to pay 4 euros each per day to lie on the beach no where near the pool ? Also a lot of locals use the pool in the afternoon? Lots of kids running around Rooms cleaned everyday but no hot water for shower for the 12 nights we stayed Excellent New Year’s Eve dinner which was laid on by the hotel free of charge Overall nice hotel but sun beds becoming an issue which you will see in previous reviews

The good- 😁 Excellent location for beach, pier, shops, bars and restaurants. Lovely restaurant with fantastic view’s, excellent food and a good selection for both breakfast and evening meal (half board) -waitresses Irene and Patricia were especially good. The hotel and our room were kept very clean throughout our stay. Good to have a free room safe but too small for iPads or Kindles. Also good to have a kettle in the room but the cups are tiny! The bad-☹️ No regard for half board customers arriving too late for evening meal- restaurant closed so went to bed hungry! No welcome drink on arrival. The bottle of water in the mini bar should be complimentary at least on the first night as it’s not advised to drink the tap water or use for brushing teeth. Finally-charging guests €4 each per day for sun beds! A common complaint which seems to fall on deaf ears. Overall- We wanted to support the local economy and book a local family run hotel, but feel that the Rui hotels ( which we have used before) provide better value for money and value your custom more, so would choose that option next time.

All perfect awesome stay 🧿🌊, perfect view on the sea , with private awesome clear blue crystal water, with nice beach restaurant with tasty food, the junior luxe room view on the sea is perfect, workers of the hotel are super cool, & restaurant night for dinner amazing singers and atmosphere around
