My wife stayed a couple of nights with a group of friends in the hotel, it so happened that she had her birthday on her first day in the hotel. I contacted the hotel in hope that they can organize a surprise cake for her. Nathan responded in a yes, and went out of his way to make it a wonderfull experience for her. He sent me photos of the cake and videos of how they surprised my wife, he brought his wife and the entire staff of the hotel, put on birthday music and the entire staff danced and sang their way to my wife, cheering and clapping, singing and dancing, with the cake, flowers, balloons, making this an evening she will never forget. What Nathan and the hotel staff did was beyond my expectations. The hospitabilty, the will to help and the service were out of this world. All I wanted was a cake, the hotel made this a night to remember.

All aspects of my visit at the Marco Vincent Dive Resort were stellar. The team spoils you here. I was with a group of scuba divers and underwater photographers so my experience went well beyond the actual hotel grounds. The dive masters knew the waters well, were attentive, and safety conscious. They also had a good understanding of the local wildlife both above and below the surface. Food on board as well as back at the hotel was great and of a good variety. Mangoes were in season which was a bonus. White Beach with its bars and restaurants is 5 minutes away. On non dive days, I used the pool and explored the region. One highlight was for me was photographing the fruit bats back at Puerto Galera proper. Overall, a great experience. I hope to return!

My wife and I just got back from a one week stay at Marco Vincent Dive Resort. It was without a doubt one of the best dive experiences I have ever had. I am a former Scuba Instructor and have done a considerable amount of dive travel. Even though resort and dive boat are land based the entire operation is run more like a liveaboard. The dive boat is a large 84” outrigger design, that comes complete with a sun deck, dining room, full kitchen and ample dive deck space for up to 20 divers (we only had 5 divers during our stay). Entry was done via giant stride. Despite the boat’s size it had no issue getting to any of the local sites, or drift diving we were doing and was particularly comfortable for the longer transit to Verde island. The schedule would be a morning dive on a reef or wall, followed by a tea service between the first and second dive. After the second dive there would be a three course hot lunch, cooked on board, followed by another hour surface interval, finally the third dive of the day would typically be a “muck dive” in the harbor area. The diving in the Puerto Galera area is interesting. We came in the off season, early January. Water temperature varied between 78-80 degrees, and the visibility was on the low side, about 30-50 ft. However the biodiversity on the reefs is off the charts. The corals are very healthy with very dense patches of soft corals, and large table corals in the shallows. Fish are everywhere, and the area is a macro enthusiasts dream. There are cuttlefish, octopi, sea horses, frogfish, small coral shrimps, and dozens of species of nudibranchs in every color and pattern imaginable. As far as bigger animals go we saw plenty of turtles, sea snakes, clownfish and anemones, giant clams and large schools of fish. The afternoon muck dives were some of the most interesting. These dives would be done almost entirely over the sandy bottom, while the dive guides looked for some of the more unusual and well camouflaged critters. This is more exciting than it sounds. Our dive guide Warren was excellent, and frequently I would need to choose between photographing the ghost pipefish, stargazer, and flamboyant cuttlefish that were all sitting in the sand within 4 ft of each other. Tough choices. The other highlight was diving the coral pinnacle at Verde Island. This was a longer boat ride, about 1.5 hours from the dock, but was definitely worth the trip. Visibility here was the best we had during the trip, closer to 100 ft, and the reef itself was spectacular, with giant sea fans and corals swarmed by schools of Anthias and triggerfish, as well as large schools of Jacks and snappers swimming in the blue. As a word of warning though this is not the place to go if you are looking for large pelagics like shark or rays. The hotel itself was comfortable, but not luxurious. We were happy with the room, and the resort is kept very clean, but some of the furnishings and electronics are getting dated. The resort is not directly on

Having traveled extensively throughout the past several years I must say that the customer service at the resort and shown by every staff member on dive boat was the very highest level I’ve ever experienced. Also all the meals served on both the dive boat and at the resort were exceptional.

From the moment we were met at the airport until we left the island, the staff at Marco Vincent was outstanding. They were professional, friendly and so very helpful. There were 19 people in our group and when we arrived to check in, they knew and addressed us by name, and that was true for all of the staff, front desk, housekeeping, restaurant and dive staff. Despite the hotel being about 21 years old, it is well maintained, and our room was spotless. Service was impeccable. If there was anything we needed, all we had to do was ask. When we arrived, we were a little under the weather, as we were in contact with someone in our earlier travels who passed along a cold/flu type illness (not COVID), and they had a driver, Willie, who graciously took us to town to purchase cold and flu meds. Only when we arrived at the pharmacy, they were closed for inventory. He drove us to 2 other (grocery) stores looking for medication. They didn't charge us a thing for that service. Meals were included in our package. The food was very good and plentiful. We appreciated having American food, and really enjoyed the Filipino cuisine as well. The staff and owners, Mel and Merci take great pride in their culture and enthusiastically shared it with us. The SCUBA diving was fantastic. The dive masters were active in pointing out sea life, and it was greatly appreciated. The dive boat, Big Beth, was spacious and very comfortable. A full lunch, with soup and at least 3 entrees and dessert were served onboard each day, in addition to fresh fruit, pastries and cookies between dives. They even made sure those divers with dietary restrictions were given alternate options which were made especially for that person. Each diver had their own personalized cup, coffee/tee mug and towel. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the warm face cloth and ginger tea that awaited us after each dive...what a nice touch. Our group had much to celebrate, we had a birthday and a diver who reached 100 dives. The pastry chef made cakes for both. The dive staff celebrated with signs underwater, celebrated on the boat and back at the resort. It was such a memorable experience. I don't know that anyone can top the hospitality we received at Marco Vincent Dive Resort! I would like to thank Nathan, Elreen, Genova, Rose (?) (front desk), Sherwin, Chefs Ronald and Fred, Cindy in housekeeping who helped me with some laundry, and all of the staff who I didn't mention by name. They were all fantastic. And thanks again to Mel and Merci for your gracious hospitality. We will gladly recommend Marco Vincent to anyone and hope we can come back again and see you all in your new Puerto Galera location. From the first moment to the last...an absolutely incredible experience. I have never felt so welcomed and appreciated. The hotel staff anticipated ever need, the dive masters were attentive and informative. The owners, Mel and Mercy, were on site and led by example. It is the only Philippino owned dive shop in the area and they take great pride in sharing their culture of warmth and hospitality. The diving will be hard to beat! Had the pleasure of staying at Marco Vincent for a whole week as part of my Work Dive Club trip. Room was comfortable and Air Conditioning worked well for the hot temperatures. The best part of the resort however is the amazing Staff. Everyone was unbelievably friendly and I felt truly lucky to be there. And of course the diving was incredible!!

Stayed at the resort for a week, scuba diving. The scuba diving, staff, and food were truly remarkable. The staff go above and beyond to please. The food on the boat every day was probably the best meal I have ever had on a scuba diving adventure. To the point, that I was trying to steal the cook to come work for my resort.

I signed up for PADI open water dive course Marco Vicent Dive Resort provides. This is my first time staying at Marco Vincent and I was worried because I didn't know how to get there.....So I tried to contact MV and I could receive a lot of help from them over the phone two days before I went there!!! I could easily realize that they provide top quality dive experience by joining the program. Apol is a great instructor, I'm lucky to meet him there. I could feel the joy of Diving thanks to his passionate instruction. Every member of the MV staff was polite, friendly and professional. I can say they are the best staff in the world!!! I went back to Korea but I already miss the time and people of MV Diving Resort. Thank you guys again, You made my vacation twice more beautiful :)

Buyer Beware! Do NOT send this company a wire transfer. This was the Only form of payment they would accept. I foolishly did so and there are no Terms of Agreement or Policy Posted. I gave 30 days notice of not being able to travel as planned. I requested a credit for the money I sent for a future travel stay. I only received and acknowledgment of the email. This company has not responded to my last 4-5 emails sent over the last 2 weeks. I am disappointed with the level of professionalism in this company's communication along with their transparency of cancelation and travel credit options.

Marco Vincent Resort and Dive Center is a place of hospitality, personalized service, and passion for what they're doing. I booked a bundle package of accommodation and PADI Open Water Certification, and how glad I am that I booked here! The room was spacious with the AC working well. The pool was warm, the restaurant offered great service! The food was yummy throughout, and the staff was beyond polite; they made sure that I felt welcome and well from the time of check-in with a welcome drink, throughout my stay with an occasional complimentary drink. What I particularly like is how the resort and the business as a whole did not feel commercial, instead, everything was personalized and well taken care of on my behalf, from the front desk and restaurant, all the way to housekeeping and maintenance. Riza the General Manager was super quick to reply to my endless emails and inquiries and explained everything that I wanted to know! During the dives, the crew had ginger tea, hot towels, as well as plenty of cold water ready on-demand, making sure that I felt comfortable no matter where we were. I was lucky to be the only one for this certification period, and my instructor Abol took great care to ensure I was comfortable every step of the way. He was extremely knowledgeable and so charmingly led me through the course! I would gladly and warmly recommend this Resort to anyone wanting to come and experience the beauty of Puerto Galera and White Beach, both above the water and below it. I know I'll be coming back as soon as my schedule allows! Thanks everyone, looking forward to staying and diving with you again!

I don't even know where to begin. The previous three reviews were well written by 3 of the people that I traveled with. Riza and Nathan manage a staff of the most kind and courteous people I've ever met. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Riza documented our entire trip with her camera and presented a video summary to us at the end of the trip. She also shared the hundreds of photos that she took of our group above and below the water. We barley lifted a finger the entire trip. I highly recommend the massage's. $20 for a one hour massage that was better than any spa I've ever been too. The food was visual and tasteful perfection. The dive team was outstanding. I have to give a special shout out to the dive master, Sherwin. I was the least experienced diver on the boat, with only 8 previous dives. The first day of diving left me unsettled, as I had a hard time getting comfortable due to my lack of experience and time passed since my previous dives. It had crossed my mind to sit out diving. (we still had over 20 dives left on the trip). Sherwin offered to send the rest of the group with Warren and take me on my own to help me get more comfortable without the rest of the group. Had he not taken the time with me, I may not have gotten back in the water. After a few more dives like that, I gained more confidence and by the end of the trip I had done drift dives, a night dive, and hit 100ft! The resort celebrated my accomplishments with a dance and cake! To top it all off, Sherwin dove back down and retrieved my husbands $500 camera lens when it fell off climbing back on the boat, he retrieved his wedding ring that came off during a dive, and he hand delivered our drone that we accidentally left behind after the last day of diving. Sherwin and the rest of the team are truly on of a kind. Best trip ever! Already talking about our return.

Amazing!!!! Excellent food, towels towels towels in the room and the scuba diving was amazing. Saw 6 species of octopus and didn’t even do a night dive. Their boat is a smooth ride. My buddy, who get sea sick had no problem and there was some rough weather. Our guide, Warren was amazing. If you want pampering-that is the place.

The Marco Vincent Dive Resort is serious about service and comfort. In my diving experience, this is the most pampering I've encountered. They offer so many 'extras' - complementary massages, hot towels, and ginger tea when you get out of the water, to the great dive master-to-diver ratio. The staff and management try to think of everything to make sure you get the most out of your dive trip. We appreciated the large catamaran for our dives and staying on board between the 2nd and 3rd dives to have a freshly prepared lunch instead of returning to shore. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and the almost nightly dance performances a tickle. The entire staff is caring and knew our names from the time we arrived! That said, it's far from a budget dive service (available elsewhere on the island,) but it's worth it when you come for the unique critters that live here, and having this level of care guarantees you leave satisfied.
