Our stay at Domaine de L'Ocrerie was both soothing and profoundly compelling. Our curiosity, piqued by the ornate curation of the premises, was well attended to. We were hosted with a tenderness that gave us the agency to unwind fully. Mealtime was a real delight. The attention to detail and consideration given to many local ingredients was on full display. The modern Nuage suite we stayed in was spacious and had the utility of separate niches for different sleeping arrangements. The vaulted ceiling's grandness was matched by a wall-to-wall adorning bespoke artwork. The same juxtaposition of a sleek remodel accenting the rustic history featured throughout the charming house. It is a true gem elevating not only with dedication a host of exhibited artists, but the already bucolic Burgundy countryside to an esteemed primary destination.

A last minute change in travel plan brought us to Domaine de l'Ocrerie for 3 nights in September. It was such an idyllic setting to come back to after long days exploring the Burgundy countryside. The beautifully decorated house offered a glimpse into the owners' passion for art and travels. We had the Pondicherie suite with lovely authentic Indian furniture and accents. Cathy and Gilles were charming hosts who treated us to insightful details of the domaine's history and their love for the art. All Cathy's recommendations for restaurants in the area were spot on. We ate very well :) Thank you Cathy and Gilles for welcoming us into your house. We hope to be back soon to Burgundy, and for sure to Domaine de L'Ocrerie!

It’s the art of noticing each and every single piece of the place (and there was a lot to discover from an art exhibition, great interior design, porcelain, delicious home made food etc.) which gives you an incredible peace immediately after entering the red gate! The hosts are pure gold and Cathy&Gilles made my stay an unforgettable experience which filled my heart with pure pleasure and joy! I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your very warm welcome, the lively and inspiring conversations and the incredible evening you prepared for my friends and me which will never be forgotten! Merci beaucoup and for sure it was not the last time I visited you!

We absolutely loved staying with Cathy and Gilles in their beautiful B&B in between Toucy and Auxerre (~10 mins to both). The room had been renovated and designed with modern amenities while keeping the old charm of this gorgeous building. If you love art you will love staying here. We happened to be staying when Gilles was having an art expo and received a personal tour of his work, which was a real treat. Cathy was amazing at helping us find and book restaurants in the area, and had endless recommendations for all kinds of activiites in the nearby towns. Breakfast was classic French with muesli, fresh fruit, breads and interesting jams, as well as lovely conversations. We will definitely be staying here again!

Bel endroit et belle rencontre. Une maison et un jardin paisibles, avec de l'âme, décorés et soignés avec créativité et intention. Des chambres très bien équipées. Et des hôtes accueillants avec qui il est intéressant d'échanger. L'espace d'exposition est un plus et le jardin très agréable.

L'Ocrerie nous a reçu pour notre petite réunion familiale et nous avons été enchantés. La décoration de la suite Loft (pour 6 personnes) et des deux autres chambres étaient splendides et a plu à tous. Après un apéritif au coin du feu, nous avons apprécié le dîner préparé par Cathy et Gilles. La soirée dans la maison fut joyeuse. Le lendemain matin, un petit déjeuner savoureux nous attendait. Nous sommes donc ravis de notre séjour et vous recommandons chaudement l'Ocrerie.

Une demeure historique, où les propriétaires perpétuent l'histoire avec gout, autour de nombreuses initiatives artistiques. Un hébergement très qualitatif, un accueil chaleureux et attentionné dans un cadre restauré et modernisé tout en gardant l'âme du lieu.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux week-end dans cette maison au charme fou. Le couple d'hôtes est absolument adorable, très attentionné, d'excellents conseils sur les alentours et fins cuisiniers. Nous avons adoré notre dîner et nos petits déjeuners, fins et savoureux, agrémentés de produits locaux ou du jardin. Nous nous sommes sentis très chaleureusement accueillis, le jardin est magnifique, la décoration des pièces est soignée et d'un goût irréprochable, l'art est omniprésent, la propreté impeccable, le linge sent divinement bon, la literie est très confortable et la salle de bain immense est très agréable (nous étions en chambre Ockra). La région est très belle, même par temps maussade. C'est vraiment l'une des meilleures expériences que nous ayons pu vivre en chambre d'hôtes en France ces dernières années. Nous reviendrons très probablement, à deux ou avec des amis !

Wer Freude hat am Flair schöner alter, genial renovierter Häuser, an Kunst und an verschiedenen Kulturen, an wunderschönen Details - ist in der Ocrerie von Cathy und Gilles im Paradies! Man entdeckt, man staunt, man genießt. Es ist ein Ort mit einer gewissen Magie, ein Ort, der einem berührt und ein Ort, an dem man zur Ruhe kommt. Wir durften eine Vernissage direkt in der Ocrerie miterleben, was zusätzlich ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis war! Tausend Dank für eure wundervolle Gastfreundschaft und auch für die Ausflug-Tipps!
