Lovely, beautiful, quiet location, well designed accommodation- view over water restful. Take advantage of the fire pit- we lit it In June- wonderful surprises when wallabies came to visit along with pademelon marsupial. Welcome basket of local delights very welcome. The heated bathroom floor a plus. Hint: arrive before dark as long winding road, about 22 kms from main road. Would visit again

Our "Flying Duck" pod was excellent. Such a peaceful place with gorgeous views across Barnes Bay. The pods are thoughtfully and beautifully built with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The bed is amazing and there are plenty of spots to sit and relax both inside and out. When the weather is fine the deck is great. Just need to keep in mind that you are a long way from any shops and will need to take all the food and drink you need for your stay. We are looking forward to going back some time and spending a little more time there.

The pods were exceptional. View was amazing especially from bed. Great facilities with the BBQ on the deck being our favourite. Bathroom was spectacular as was the walk in robe. I would definitely come back and recommend to anyone coming to Bruny Island.

Flying Duck Pod was perfect in every way. This was the perfect location in the best accomodation for a stay on Bruny Island. The view of the water from the pod was superb. The pod was equipped with everything owe needed plus all the basics for cooking and a welcome pack. We were advised to stock up with provisions at Kingston, which we did. I could go back again and again. Thank you.

We could not have asked for a better experience. We were glad to have been advised to stock up on groceries before getting to Bruny island and could have just stayed at the pod the whole time! We did see a few of the sights but otherwise soaked up all that Blue Wren pod had to offer. Pod is well stocked with everything you need and the outlook is spectacular!

Fabulous location looking out onto Quarantine Bay. Amazing wildlife we saw paddy melons, betongs, wallabies, many birds species and even a solo chicken . Lots of space, well laid out and thoughtful inclusions. If we ever get back to Bruny which I really hope we do we will definitely be back.

Absolutely loved our 3 night stay in the Flying Duck Pod. Highlights included kayaking early morning around Quarantine Bay and the daily visits by the wildlife! One night we had 6 pademelons, 1 Forresters kangaroo, a potoroo and a brown chook visiting us. Such a peaceful, quiet place to stay. Being on the north end of Bruny isn't a problem as the whole island is easily accessible. Dinner at the pub and the drive home after dark gave us the opportunity to see plenty of quolls about!! Many great memories from our stay. Will definitely be back.

Flying Duck Pod was beautifully decorated with interesting pieces and comfortable bed. The room warm and cosy with an electric fire. The view over the water was fabulous and local wildlife often appeared.
