The location of the hotel is quite good because the traveller can get the train to the JFK international airport at the near-by train station. Besides the price of the hotel's accommodations is relatively low with the provision of the breakfast.

Amazing hotel

Location is great. Close to Times Square and subway. The water with lemon and peppermint in the lobby is so refreshing. I love it! Breakfast is included which is good but the dining area is always full of people. 4 out of 5 our days there ook us some time to get a table. The biggest problem is about 3 elevators serving a 40-storey building which you have to prepare to wait and wait and wait.

Great place to stay. A short walk from port authority bus terminal and close to times square and broadway. Had happy hours with complimentary drinks which was amazing. Overall stay was good.

There is 2 elevators only working and it is horrible during peak time , no arrangement and it takes time to go up and down more than 30 min and it is unacceptable in these area like Times Square

The rooms are very clean and in a good location. But, the elevator was very poor. It is impossible to say that the elevator will not stop unless we call the front desk. I was really unhappy about the elevator. Because of it, we had to take the stairs down from the 26th floor to the 1st floor. Elevators should be improved immediately.

Our stay at Element was awesome. Location is amazing. Super clean hotel. Breakfast is just fine (6/10) but is according to the price you pay. Bed is amazing. Bathroom is super big and clean. Staff was amazingly nice.

Central location near bus terminal (5mins away) for whoever who wants to go Woodbury premium outlet. Walking distance to Times square, NYPL, Macy's (avg 10mins). Hotel included breakfast which is a plus point.

It’s a well located hotel. Poor check-in.., the employee was nothing polite.., and with little organization at the front desk. The elevators cannot accommodate the volume of guests. They were completely crowded all the time. American standard breakfast. I had an extremely serious problem in the first night: there was a big leak in the bathroom ceiling. The situation was so unpleasant and dangerous. The plaster was coming off. The front desk was advised.., and in the morning they told me that I could go out (US Open).., because they will call an engineer/plumber and they would solve that situation. So.., after eleven hours out.., they did absolutely nothing. This hotel does not convey confidence and especially comfort. I will never stay at this hotel again. I really do not recommend this place.

Pro: Nice location and breakfast (few options though). Cons: I don't know if it is an American thing, to be honest, most of the reception desk staff and the ones that speak with guests on the phone are very rude and dismissive to complaints. My complaints ranged from lack of water on arrival to lack of hot water up till the 2nd night. I also had to complain before my room was cleaned on the 2nd day. This is way below Marriot's standards and the management should invest in training the front-facing staff on customer care. My booking confirmation email showed that I was to pay $200 for a deposit, however, the receptionist said it was $250 and wouldn't bulge even when I showed the email. This could amount to a sort of mis-selling practice and false advertising tactic. A customer-oriented hotel would have taken responsibility acknowledged the mistake and offered to take the amount that was stated in the confirmation email, and after that escalated why the prices differed. Also, the intercom in the room does not work, so I have to either take the lift from floor 31 at all times to complain face to face or make a roamed call to the customer service line through my UK line. Quite ridiculous! Coming from Europe where guests are well-attended to and meeting this abysmal level of service is quite a new low for Marriot.
