Very nice. The hotel staff is very helpful to introduce the hotel facilities. The hot spring including the washing room is very tidy. The dinner and breakfast are vdelicous.
Nice hotel with a nice view on the pagoda of Nara Park (which however is under renovation at the moment). The hotel offers private baths (reservation required) but they are not hot springs bath. The localisation was perfect (walking distance to Nara Park) and the personnel was nice and very helpful. We had a great stay. Only downside is that the hotel doesn't offer western beds (only Japanese futons).

The hotel is in a great location. The front desk staff are easy to communicate with, and the breakfast is decent. Dinner, while advertised as a kaiseki meal, is a bit of an overstatement. It's fine for an included meal, but not worth paying extra for. The taste is just average. The private hot spring is only enjoyable at sunset. The staff are generally friendly, but there's one young lady with bangs who introduces the room facilities. She has a very cold demeanor and a poker face. I only saw her smile when she was interacting with white guests. Employee training needs to be improved.
