Temple Hotel Habanobo

Woah, what an experience that was!!!!!! It was really interesting. I prayed with a buddhist monk in a temple, which blew my mind. Very inspiring. The temple itself is STUNNING!!!!! The food was vegetarian and very tasty :) The room was huge with big windows and this bed was the most comfy of all the Ryokans where I stayed during my two weeks trip :) In the morning, the kind monk showed me around Mt Minobu :) And once atop the montain, he still spoke to me and was so sweet, he had this translator-app on his phone and we both tried to speak English/ Japanese with each other, next time I go I will have learned more Japanese :) The view of Fujisan from the top of Minobusan is to die for. Just gorgeous. Everything at Habanobo was great. Definitely recommend visiting there. -Mou ichidou arigatou gozaimashita!!!-

隅々に気配りが行き届いた、清潔で温かい宿坊です。御本堂での夜のお勤めの際は、日蓮宗の由来などご住職の熱いお話が聞けて、ご祈祷もしてくださいました。 夕食は本当に美しく、一つ一つに奥様の心が込もった美味しい精進料理を堪能させていただきました。 翌朝は5時からご住職が久遠寺を案内してくださり、6時からの朝のお勤めは、日蓮聖人の御命日の前日だった為、お寺の僧侶総出での荘厳な儀式。 本当にありがたく素晴らしい体験をさせていただきました。 出発の電車の時間に合わせて、朝食を早めに準備してくださったり、ご住職が最寄り駅まで送ってくださったり、本当に至れり尽くせりのお世話になりました。 私は久遠寺参拝が目的でしたので、大大大満足です。周りには何も無い、部屋にはテレビも無い、21時消灯、お勤めは作務衣で…と、非日常な心洗われる旅をしたい方には心からお勧めする宿坊です。
