Casa Comtesse

Really lovely house and bedroom. Staff were great - extremely friendly and helpful. Fernando responded quickly to my questions prior to booking. The breakfasts were delicious. I would highly recommend this casa and look forward to staying there again.

Great stay here from start to finish. The house is charming and cozy, with lovely art everywhere. Our room was comfortable and clean, and although we were worried about traffic noise (our room was at the front near the street) it wasn't a problem at all. Everyone was very helpful. Fernando checked is in, gave us great advice on dinner and travel tips. Diego was also very kind. The atmosphere was overall very relaxing and welcoming. Breakfast included coffee, juice, croissants and other breads, yogurt, cheese, etc. Additionally there was the option of a different hot item each day. The chilaquiles were terrific! The location is super convenient. Basically at the southern end of Condesa neighborhood, it's a fifteen minute talk to Parque de Mexico, with restaurants and shops along the way. The subway is around the corner and down the street, and the bus stop is literally across the street. We don't normally like to return to the same place twice, life being too short, but we would stay here again, and hopefully will.

Had a very comfortable stay at Casa Comtesse. Spent a few days solo for a birthday weekend of relaxation. The room and entire house was very clean yet homey. Jaguar room on the second floor has a beautiful tree-lined view of the courtyard in the back of the house. Breakfast each day was lovely as well as the complimentary mezcal tasting. The metro station is right in front of the building for great ease of transportation. If other guests were loud you would be able to hear them but people were quiet and considerate while I was there. The bed was so comfy and the room had just what you need to feel at rest.

Casa Comtesse is situated in the beautiful neighborhood of Condesa, brimming with cute cafés and leafy-green streets. The house itself has history and offers a little garden and kitchen that’s open to all guests. Breakfast is great and made fresh everyday. Also, you get to meet the other guests, so it has a familiar atmosphere. Thank you to Alex, Luci, Liria, and Eric for their heartfelt welcome. Secret tip: Try the Mezcals in the bar ;)

Our room was spacious and the bathroom was quite large with a beautiful sink. The hotel staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast was alright. I give the place a 3 rating because there was noise in the day from extensive construction and at night on a few evenings (and late into the night) there was a lot of noise from a nearby bar or whatever. Noise levels were quite high and the hotel could use sound proofed windows. Also, regarding the 3 star rating, given the expense of the hotel and the above info, I'd say one should expect a better facility. It's not worth 4+ at all. 3 is appropriate. Hotel is located on busy Benjamin Franklin Street in the Condesa neighborhood. It's within walking distance of many restaurants and beautiful parks (Espana and Mexico). When walking to restaurants it is best to say away from heavily trafficked streets due to smog and crazy traffic conditions; the smaller tree-lined streets are a better bet for strolling. The Chapultepec Park is not too far away and is walkable but the historic center and Polanco require an Uber ride or a trip on the underground.

We loved our stay at Casa Comtesse. The location, the staff, the accommodations, the breakfast and cocktails, and the hotel’s ambience were perfecto. We also really love the Condesa neighborhood for walking, restaurants, shops, parks and for access to the rest of the city. We would stay ant Casa Comtesse again and again!
