Formal Complaint Regarding Hotel Staff Conduct I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received from one of your hotel staff members during check-in on April 16 at 2:00 PM. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find that the hotel used a self-service check-in system, which was unfamiliar to us. Although the machine supported Korean, my wife struggled to use it. While she was trying to figure it out, a staff member abruptly spoke to her in Japanese in a scolding tone. Even though we couldn’t understand the language, the staff member’s tone was unmistakably harsh, condescending, and completely inappropriate for a hospitality setting. I politely asked in English, "Could you please speak in English?" but the staff member ignored my request and continued speaking only in Japanese. The key issue is that we could not understand what was being said. It is unrealistic to expect all foreign guests to understand Japanese. If the hotel primarily wishes to serve Japanese-speaking customers, it should reconsider accepting foreign tourists. I have met many kind and respectful people in Japan, and I’ve always appreciated the culture’s sense of hospitality. However, this one encounter with an unprofessional staff member left a strong negative impression and unfortunately affected our entire experience. Despite being a four-star hotel, the staff’s conduct did not reflect that standard. A hotel that serves international guests must provide adequate training and uphold basic standards of courtesy. Without that, it’s difficult to recommend the establishment to others.

Decent digs, but not without quirks. Squeaky clean and lively, plus a stone's throw from Taka & Macs! Breakfast is a delight, with 5 (yes, 5!) types of OJ and a DIY "happy meal" with ice cream. 🍱🍔🍟 Power sockets aplenty and adorable hangers make for added charm… exceptional onsen facility, perfect for ultimate relaxation! Sadly, the service left much to be desired—＞think chatty staff with little patience, and lifts slower than a snail's pace… this one takes the cake for lift lethargy…the stairs are off-limits, so patience is not only a virtue but an absolute necessity. lol

Good location for transportation. Clean and new hotel. Hot spring is good, and breakfast is good as well.

I am generally pleased with the hotel's facilities and breakfast, as they have met my expectations in many aspects. However, I believe that a more welcoming and accommodating attitude from the staff would significantly enhance the overall guest experience. Additionally, improving their English proficiency, particularly in customer interactions, would be highly beneficial in providing more seamless and professional service to international visitors.

Very good location at the top of Takashimaya, the Matsuyama city station. Just 10mins from Matsuyama JR station. Perfect view from view w the Matsuyama castle! Breakfast was amazing with many choice and drinks (citrus juices and even sake!) Awesome value of money!

The hotel is conveniently located at Matsuyama City Station — the perfect base for exploring other tourist spots, whether by bus, tram, or on foot.

This is really a lovely hotel, excellent location with spacious rooms. Would be ideal if they served the 2/F drinks all day rather than just afternoon. The hotel was extremely crowded when we stayed over Golden Week with many families visiting, the onsen was very crowded pretty much the entire evening and the lifts also took quite a long time. Understandable given the holiday but they should likely open the stairs for use at least between floors 1-3. Overall hotel probably best for families but couples or solo travelers will likely get annoyed with all the young children running around.

Very nice and clean! Excellent location next to train station. The best breakfast I had in Japan. The welcome mandarin soft serve was really tasty!

Really convenient , parking just near hotel, 1000yen for a day and no limit re-entry. comfy and new furnishing, bed a comfy and they have public bath area, inside have very good facility, daily use shampoo…etc, even they use Dyson hair drier. Comics area, laundry, drink machine, ice cream machine, even ice machine…etc. High value of this hotel, cheap price and good condition

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It's location right above Matsuyama City station made our commutes easy and convenient. The room was clean, well-equipped and breakfast buffet was excellent and value for money. We only wished that the TV had netflix or youtube but it was a minor bugbear. Worth a stay if you are in Matsuyama.

It’s a pity that the light beside the bed has some problem. Other things are very good.
