One of the King bedrooms even comes with extra spaciousness on its own floor with a kitchenette, living room, and private outdoor access and porch. For those ready to venture out from Wondertree, take a short drive to 360 degree gorgeous mountain views atop Max Patch Mountain—known to be one of the region’s most beautiful and accessible hikes (less than 2 miles round trip from the parking area to reach the gorgeous summit), intersecting with the Appalachian trail.Or head to downtown Hot Springs, a short beautiful drive down the scenic mountain road, to enjoy a tasty meal out, some local shopping, a visit to the spa, or beer & music at Big Pillow Brewery.Of course Asheville is less than an hour away for those wanting to visit all that this top Southeast destination has to offer— Biltmore Estate, River Arts District, a downtown brimming with premier restaurants, music venues, and breweries, as well as outdoor recreation of every kind.
