Located on Route 64 in between Franklin, NC and Highlands, NC behind Jacksons Gem Mine, you will enjoy the sounds of the creek as you relax on your mountain vacation. Both Franklin and Highlands are a 15-20 minute drive for groceries, dining and shopping. When not relaxing, adventure awaits with limitless hiking nearby, waterfall viewing and rafting and tubing in nearby towns. Route 64 showcases many amazing waterfalls like Cullasaja Falls, Dry Falls and Bridal Veil Falls. The house is equipped with a full-sized kitchen, dining table for 6 and living space. There are two bedrooms: one King in the master bedroom and two twins in the guest room. A small porch allows for a small sitting area, another dining table for 6 and a grill which sits alongside the creek for relaxing water sounds.There is WiFi available through Stark-link as well as a cell booster to help you get a better signal, however due to the remote location buffering and slow signals sometimes occur. Cable tv is available to watch through YouTube on the SmartTV but again please be advised that buffering occurs frequently. You can stream other content with your own logins. An open floor plan A-frame cabin with a well equipped kitchen, dining, living and loft flooded with natural light & amazing views. Living room with floor to ceiling windows, anchored with a rustic stone wood burning fireplace with large screen TV and modern furnishings. Kitchen equipped for the vacation chefs or grill masters, a large assortment of pots and pans, a clean organized cabinet of small electrics, such as airfryer, blender, & crockpot. A counter top nugget ice maker, assorted glasses including wine glasses, and plenty of dishes for the whole family, including our youngest guests. The kitchen with island opens into the dining and living room, so even while preparing meals or snacks you can enjoy time with your friends and family and enjoy the amazing Mountain View. Dining area and table seats 8, with two at the bar, and table for 6. Dining Area also includes a Coffee Bar, with Kuerig, assorted coffee pods, a full pot coffee maker, French press, electric hot water kettle, assorted teas, creamers and sugar. A King Sized Bedroom is located on this floor, with luxury Ugg bedding, and plush mattress for the wonderful nights sleep you crave when vacationing and enjoying the fresh mountain air. Just across the hall is a full bathroom, with tub/shower combo, with a separate door separating the sink from shower/toilet area. Upstairs over the Living Room is a spacious loft, with recliners, a play area, full size tent bed, and amazing log cabin single bed with additional single trundle bed. The loft sleeps 4, and has a great open play area for the kids with games, books, and play kitchen. The cabin has central heat and air, but for added comfort an additional air conditioning unit has been added to the loft. Downstairs is a split layout with a King sized bedroom to the left, spacious and private with the ability to be closed off from the rest of the house, with a full bathroom available just outside the bedroom. To the right also via the hallway between the King Bedroom and bathroom is the game/bonus room area located in the transformed garage space. This bonus room features a large 70" tv, sectional sofa, electric fireplace, bar top table for games and cards, a convertible large game table with foosball and pool, & a standing Ms. PacMan arcade game. Located just outside the bonus room is our brand new 7 person hot tub, w/each seat offering its own massage jet arrangement. Hot tub towels are provided, and the hot tub is checked, balanced and maintained. We didn't let the view be the only thing offered on the deck. Outdoor dining table, Adirondack chairs with propane firepit, and a new propane grill are available for use and enjoyment. Welcome to Sunrise Mountain Cabin! Our rustic log cabin is nestled on a mountainside high among the trees. It is private and secluded but only minutes to shopping, restaurants and activities. Quaint and comfortable, the newly furnished living room is the perfect place to cozy up with a book or movie. Choose from a selection of books and dvds or log into your streaming app on the wi-fi tv. The adjacent reading room (sunroom) has an extra twin sized bed, great for an afternoon nap or extra guest. Our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The deck is a great place to relax any time of day. Enjoy morning coffee high in the trees surrounded by distant mountain ranges or grill out as the stars appear overhead. There is a half bath downstairs and a game closet with board and card games for all ages. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs to sleep 4 guests; and the sunroom on the main level has a day bed that sleeps one more for a total of 5 guests. The full bath upstairs features a walk in shower with excellent water pressure - such a relief after a day trip! Please note, we are on a mountainside, the last part of the driveway is gravel and steep but a 4 wheel drive is not necessary. This cozy, park model cabin is nestled on Buck Creek Mountain right on a gorgeous creek. The rushing water of the creek, rock waterfalls, and lush mountainous terrain is an amazing getaway and is exactly what you'd want and look for with any mountain getaway to unwind, relax, and renew.When leaving the cabin if you turn left and go down Buck Creek Road, you are just 7 miles to Franklin. Take a right out of the cabin going up Buck Creek Road and you will be in Cashiers or the Highlands. All three of these desirable towns are just a short drive. You can also drive the scenic Cullasaja River Gorge to get to Cashiers and Highlands as well. Along the way be sure to stop at the Cullasaja Falls, Dry Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Glenville Lake. Other nearby attractions include gem mining at Jackson Hole, antiquing at the nearby Whistle Stop, and each town has shops and dining which you won't want to miss. There are plenty of attractions, restaurants, and local festivals/events in nearby Franklin and Highlands. Google the Discover Franklin, NC tourism, and Macon County Chamber of Commerce websites for attractions and festival/event schedules. There is a gas grill on the deck for grilling, gas fire pit, and an outside dining set with 4 chairs to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains and busy creek. No matter where you are in this cabin the rushing sounds of the creek can be heard and opening the windows allows you to enjoy the mountain air and the rushing creek to its fullest. The internet offers wireless wifi anywhere in the cabin. Most cellular service works in the cabin but may be spotty at times and we walk out to the driveway and our phone calls work perfectly. The TV is set up with Roku TV or you can access any other service it offers if you have an account (just be sure to log out when you are done). The DVD player in the living room allows you to watch any DVD you wish located in the fireplace entertainment center (both sides-packed with DVD's). Please return them where you found them. IMPORTANT: The driveway to get to the cabin is a little steep but is paved with asphalt so you should be fine coming and going (just go slow and you will be fine). You may need to use the leaf blower on the driveway and deck during the months of October and November.
