Lijiang Ancient City Suyintang Inn

A lovely place to stay! The owner is very friendly and takes great care of the guests. The location is perfect,right inside Lijiang Ancient Town, which makes it convenient to explore. Highly recommended!

The friendly hosts make the stay here worthwhile. It’s unlike any other home stay where the guest will always feel welcome. They will also try to fulfil every request of the guest to make sure their stay here is comfortable. The location is far from the main road which makes doorstep luggage drop off difficult. It’s about 2 mins walking distance. But not to worry as the host makes it convenient for the guests by offering luggage pick up and drop off to the accommodation. The view of the bed room is spectacular with full window. This is the view from 2nd floor. Breakfast is served simple but yet hearty. Suitable for adults and children alike. In the afternoon, you can experience the local tea brewing and taste the authentic tea from Yunnan. Before bedtime, you get to enjoy a sweet dessert to end your night.

Our stay at SuYinTang were healing and cozy. Tucked away in a quiet corner of the ancient town,this boutique guest house is a serene escape with its lush courtyard and warm inviting atmosphere. The rooms were designed with perfect blending of wooden furnishings, natural textiles and colours, make it very cozy and the bed was comfortable. What truly made our stay special was the hospitality of the host, where we were offered freshly brewed tea and great help to order foods and necessities with ******* in his phone. If you are looking for an authentic, yet soul soothing stay in Lijiang, SuYinTang is an absolutely gem.

This is a fantastic home stay that is like a home away from home. Everyone here is friendly and very helpful. Upon arrival I was served with tea. The staff gave tips about what to do and not to do in the ancient city. We are in the quieter part of the town so there are shops around but not as busy as near the market street. Everywhere is about a 10 minute walk away. I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay again when I’m back in Lijiang!

The staff were exceptionally accommodating and caring, they helped us get tickets and taxis and were patient with our requests. The rooms were spacious, even the smaller ones, and the beds very comfortable. The bathroom is a nice size as well, although the water pressure isn't great, you can at least expect really hot showers. Every evening, when we got back to our rooms, a warm soup was waiting for us, which was very soothing and perfect to wind down for the night. For breakfast you have the option to have the local MiXian noodles or congee with extras; a simple but filling breakfast that makes you feel ready for the day ahead. Lastly, they transported our luggage from the hotel to the entrance of the Ancient Town, which is very convenient. You may also request this service upon arrival to the Ancient Town, and they will pick up your bags whilst you have a look around. We definitely would recommend staying here!

We had a wonderful 1 week stay at 素隐堂 in Lijiang. The homestay exudes a cosy charm while offering modern comforts. Hosts 小帅 and 景阳 were incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel right at home with their thoughtful recommendations and hospitality. The rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated, and the tranquil courtyard was perfect for relaxation. The breakfast provided was homely and delicious. With its prime location within Lijiang Old Town, 素隐堂 is an ideal choice for an authentic and comfortable stay. Highly recommended!
