Club Med Valmorel in the French Alps offers a delightful summer retreat, perfect for families looking to enjoy the beauty of the mountains. The resort provides a wide range of activities that cater to all ages, ensuring everyone in the family has a memorable time. During my stay, the service was outstanding, with Hadas at the front desk standing out for her friendliness and helpfulness. She made sure all our needs were taken care of and contributed to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the resort. The summer activities at Club Med Valmorel are diverse, from hiking and mountain biking to relaxing by the pool or engaging in various family-friendly programs. The natural beauty of the area is breathtaking, offering stunning views and a peaceful environment, perfect for relaxation and exploration. The accommodations are comfortable and well-suited for families, providing a cozy and spacious environment to unwind after a day of adventure. The dining options are varied and cater to different tastes, with something to please everyone in the family. Overall, Club Med Valmorel is an excellent choice for a summer family vacation in the French Alps, offering a blend of relaxation, adventure, and outstanding service.

The service at the Latterie restaurant was terrible. We had two dinners, and both days we had to wait almost 1 hour between the starters and the main course. On December 26th, after waiting 1 hour for the main course (Fondue), the maitre (Guillaume) decided that the fondues that the waitresses were about to serve us should go to other tables (tables that had arrived later but had complained, he gave them priority service). At our table, of 14 pax, he served us 1 fondue for 2 pax but the other 2 for 4 pax without. The children were left waiting 20 more minutes. When I asked him for an explanation, he confronted me and reproached me for my lack of understanding, shouting at me in the middle of the restaurant. It is a totally unacceptable attitude in any establishment, and one that I would never have expected from a hotel of the level of Club Med. I have never been shouted at in a roadside bar, and even less so after having waited 1 hour for a dish. Club Med cannot be allowed to have staff of that level. I felt very badly treated, and my 80-year-old parents were very upset.

There were too many children at the Mini Club ski school with not enough ski instructors to supervise. On top of this, not all instructors could speak English. My 4 years old daughter wondered aimlessly with one ski in her hand as nobody helped her put her skis on. People kept speaking French to her until we intervened. She hated her first day and refused to go back. The Mini Club was the main reason we chose this Club Med. It would have been cheaper and more effective if we hired a private instructor and stayed somewhere else.

Lovely ski-in/ski-out hotel at the top of the beautiful Valmorel resort, with a great pool,sauna, hammam. Skiing in the morning was great as we had plenty of snow but in April it was warm and the afternoons were rather slushy. ESF instructors were fantastic, as ever. My teenager had a great time skiing in an adult group with his instructor, Aurelian, who invited his group to a picnic in the mountains on the last day with cheese, sausage, baguette and wine. Food as ever, was great, although the à la carte was a disappointment, I won’t bother again - buffet much better!

We arrived at the hotel at 4pm and where not able to check into our room over 3 hours later. No one is capable of telling us when the rooms are ready and service is very poor. Hopefully our luggage are not lost! We would expect better from clubmed and you won’t see us again!

Overall, we had a good time at Club Med Valmorel, but there were quite a few hiccups: * Arrival and departure chaos: Poor organization with many families arriving all at once, delayed transfers, room key problems, luggage mix-ups, pre-booked skis not in their lockers, long queues. * Kids club: Overcrowded (70 children just in the 4-5 years old section), insufficient staff, overwhelmed G.Os... Children were often ignored or left crying indoor and didn't go ski. * Restaurant: Overcrowded, long queues, limited food choices, poor food quality (burnt pizza, fatty meat, overcooked pasta), and even a stone found in our dish. The other Gourmet restaurant was always fully booked. * Swimming pool: Too cold. * Ski group (ESF): Pushy instructors who pressured beginners, leading to potential safety concerns. If you don't catch up fast you are asked to pay for a private lesson. * Entertainment: Overcrowded theater, very limited seating (all seats taken already at 19:00), very loud kids... Positive aspects: * Good weather and decent snow. * Attractive town of Valmorel and its small pedestrian streets. * Nice ski slopes.

We loved the hospitality and education of the entire exclusive colection team, especially GUILHERME THEODORO (THEO) who is super dedicated, attentive, always available, a super employee!!! for more people like him at club med. We had a wonderful time in Valmorel, the village is really cosy and beatifull.

My stay at this hotel was truly exceptional! The staff were all incredibly friendly and enthusiastic about helping guests. One staff member who stood out was Matteos —he was not only approachable but also very engaging and fun to talk to. The snowboard instructor: Stephane.J, was highly skilled and exceptionally patient. He paid great attention to detail and made sure every participant felt well cared for. The hotel rooms were cozy and comfortable, and the views of the surroundings were absolutely stunning. The only slight drawback was that the shower water pressure could have been better. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend this hotel!
