Good Service, Friendly staff

My 2nd time staying in the hotel.. Staff hospitality is good.. Recept Ms Jee is nice and communicate well.. Got an upgrade for my 8 nights.. the breakfast had many varieties.. The occupants consist a mixture of many foreign esp asians, Jap, China, Singapore, Indian. 1 bad experience encountering was an indian couple at the swimming pool drinking and smoking, did not clear their litters, butts and cans when leaving the pool. Other than that, it was excellent stay in Deevana Plaza.

The location is walking distance 10 to 15 minutes to the beach - main shopping area. 150baht Tok Tok ride. The hotel is at the end of a small road which looks like a village pathway with overgrown blocks and rundown buildings . My first impressions of the street leading in were along the lines of 'this can't be right'. Luckily when you turn the corner the hotel appears as shown in the photo listing. Some of the rooms had a mouldy smell and a blocked drain in the outside passageway created an interesting odor. The staff were great with a friendly greeting every time. Swimming pool area was great

Very spacious, clean rooms with a great shower and balcony. You can find all sorts of bars and restaurants in the nearby area. The staff is not really customer orientated. When you just want the drink you need to wait for a long time before someone notices you, after ordering it can take up to 15min before your drink arrives. I feel they could improve that

Room telephone is old and very smelly. You will regret on using it. I wouldnt mind if its vintage but it has an awful smell. Wallpaper used inside the room is falling off. Switches for lights malfunctions, even asked the recept to check on it but i gave up and asked them a favor to transfer a room but they dont want too. I was very disappointed with this. Recept didnt know that we have a reservation too. Had to wait longer before they can give us a room that was not prepared. Breakfast is okay, decent enough to fill up your tummy in the morning. They change menu daily too. Housekeepers are the best, please give credits to them. Reception staff are okay and just doing their job. Restaurant staff are very accommodating. They have two very cute black cats in the hotel! I love the cats!
