The Jesselton Cabin Sdn Bhd

I stayed at Jesselton cabin as part of an expedition, for my first two nights. On arrival, the place seemed a little downtrodden, but after entering the lounge space, it seemed more pleasant. All floors areas had locked gates with passcode access, given to us by the host, who was always on hand to help. In the dormitory, there were 3 bunks and 2 singles, a fairly spacious room, with very effective fans. However, there was black mould pretty much in every nook and cranny, and sleeping on the top bunk was risky due to the instability of the beds. Sleeping on the bottom, I had a fairly good sleep, not too noisy and comfy. One area which definitely let this place down was the washing facilities. There are two outside toilets on the balconies per floor, which smelt and were dirty and grimy. The showers were essentially a dribble, and there were many undesirable substances smeared on the walls ~ not to mention the dirt and soil. Breakfast was included, consisting of bread and jam, along with a tap for water. Overall, a pleasant stay but the facilities were lacking in cleanliness and practicality. Fine for a quick one night stay.

I was staying here for almost one week. This place is amazing of location at all. The rest dont expect too much. Here is the pros and cons : Pros : - helpful staff and friendly - walkable places - available laundry machine but bring your own detergent Cons : - basic room with hard bed and pillow not comfortable to rest - should be better there is small mirror in the room - one private room with queen big size bed and bunk bed (quite old one) - on 3rd flood lots of long stay residents and condition is quite messed up - broken toilet and bathroom - THERE IS CRAZY PERSON WHO YELL AND SHOUT in front of hotel and disturbing at the night - No toileters - No towel Overall if you love walkable places, this is the place. If you seek good sleep and amenities find other places.
