Dirty. Even if you raise the issue, they never clean up properly. The entirety of Palau seems like the place for people who love terrible hygiene, who are already used to filths. But people from countries such as India, South East Asia, Africa and Latin America must already be used to filthy hygiene and people from North America or Europe or Australia must already be used to gun violence or theft or racism or insults coming from uneducated self entitled staff so let them be happy with this place being just dirty.

I stayed at Antelope Guesthouse for my one week stay in Palau. I will start with the good things. The accommodation did pick me up from the airport as agreed. The host was nice. My room had a view. The air conditioning worked well. Most of the accommodation I didn't like. It isn't in a great location, right by the big industrial petrol storage tankers. When I first arrived the swimming pool was empty with no water in it. It took them a few days into my week stay to fill the swimming pool up with water. The swimming pool was very small. There was no steps to climb into or out of the swimming pool. The area looked quite junky and untidy around the swimming pool. Uncomfortable seating around the pool. I had a single bed room. The bed wasn't very comfortable and gave me a bit of a sore back. I could hear noise from some of the other guests in other rooms close by. They had a shared bathroom which was very small. The bathroom didn't really have anywhere to hang up your toiletries or shelves to put your clothes. Just a very basic bathroom. Overall, I didn't spend much time at the accommodation as I didn't like it very much. I wouldn't stay here again if I return to Palau. I would only recommend this place if you are on a strict budget and can't afford anywhere nicer. I would give the place a 2 star rating as there were still a few good things, but overall I was disappointed.
