Great Southern Killarney

Nice stay.

This is an outstanding hotel, the staff is absolutely tremendous and they actually all seem to really enjoy their jobs! Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel like you are the most special guests ever. Whether it's Michael in the bar and restaurant for supper or checking in with our lovely Maijiam (sp?) Or the lovely lady who came in to turn our beds down at night ... I cannot express how extraordinary this hotel is!!!! And we were able to celebrate our forty second wedding anniversary ... planned to stay 2 nights ended to 4 nights because of the extraordinary staff❣️❣️❣️

The garden suite was really lovely, so spacious and the bed and quilt was so comfortable, you would not want to get up. The bathroom was spacious and the robes were the cosiest ever. I couldn't speak highly enough of he staff they were so friendly and helpful in every way. What can I say about the food 👍👍 scrumptious. Keep up the good work everyone in the great southern. Nearly forgot the cosy fires and Christmas decorations made a very wet and miserable day a really comfortable day

We recently stayed at the Great Southern Hotel in Killarney to celebrate my son’s 13th birthday, and the experience was truly unforgettable. From the moment we made our booking to the day we checked out, the staff went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. A huge thank you to Emmy and Lilly in Reservations for their professionalism and for helping us secure such a fabulous room. Their friendly assistance set the tone for what was to come. Upon arrival, Daisy at Reception was incredibly helpful in supporting what we needed for the birthday celebration. Special thanks must go to BiBi in the main restaurant and her amazing team for making my son’s birthday so special. Their attention to detail and thoughtful touches transformed the celebration into a magical event we’ll cherish forever. The joy and excitement on my son’s face said it all! The Great Southern Hotel is not only a stunning property with beautiful rooms and excellent facilities but also a place where the team’s genuine care and effort create an extraordinary guest experience. We are already looking forward to our next visit and will be recommending this wonderful hotel to everyone we know. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so remarkable!

From the moment we arrived we were very well looked after and made feel welcome. Check in was very efficient. Our room was amazing. Ideally suited to a Grandmother, Mum and seven month old baby. Breakfast was lovely. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a family birthday celebration here. The hotel is beautiful. The staff were amazing, even allowing us to have one of our family members enter the dining room as a gorilla to sing happy birthday! It was a great family weekend, made better by the staff and location of this lovely hotel!
